Picked up this beauty today at an Autojumble.

Bought it from a vendor that hails from Co Down, northern Ireland, and this gent told me he has a customer that buys from him "Restores" then sells them again,at a loss.

I'm just wondering if it's the same chap creations that we sometimes see on Tat  Friday's?

Anyway here it is,a Guisival Mk1 Ford Capri boy racer Policia edition!!

I picked this F150 up this week.

1/25 scale but without any markings apart from Made in Thailand underneath.

Nicely detailed down to the rubber tyres.

Huh, so Selfridges is still packing the same 2023 HW mainlines as Poundland and Tesco - ah well.

I notice there's no prices on the shelves or pegs - did you catch how much they're looking for the bog-standard stuff? Just out of interest...

£3.00 I think. Did see a Hamley's which is usually that or more for mainlines.

I was on a Hot Wheels mission but not for toys. Unfortunately despite walking 12 miles so far and visiting more Primarks in central London than I'd care to think about, none have the Hot Wheels Racing jacket l saw in their window display, and none of the staff seem to know about its existence. It's driving me nuts to be honest, been into lots of stores locally and on my travels, emailed, called - only one store knew the garment as they'd had a couple as returns. Starting to feel like I'm losing my mind!

It feels like a Maisto but has nothing to say, just the scale and Thailand markings.

Oh, brilliant!

I'm absolutely positive this is the same guy. The use of UHU glue, the random words across the top of the screen, the 'spotlights' made from buttons and earrings...

I'm gonna have to hoke out all the pics I have of this craftsmanship, aren't I?

If it is him,he's quite prolific isn't he🤣

I particularly like the "Leg length regular" sunstrip.

Unfortunately it won't be staying like that,I will undo all the hard work done by our feverish customizer.

Pity about the scratching to the paint on the roof, as it's otherwise quite clean.

As was my first XJ-C, that I had when I was 6-7. I have a memory of it being given to me as a birthday or Christmas present, wrapped in kitchen foil. It was the '70s, maybe there'd been a strike at the wrapping paper factory?....

Sadly that one hasn't survived, so instead I have a decent blue version (minus some of its rear bumper) picked up by @Datsuncog, I think from a Tat Friday sale:

IMG_9754.thumb.JPG.359bb330a5bbcfb737aa08949f90938c.JPG

Bits and bobs purchased yesterday:

IMG_9753.thumb.JPG.b52b9c1838deccce118ee6f6e0f249dc.JPG

Golf from the Co-Op on a strip, only other one they had was a Camaro convertible. The boxed MBX had gone.

Iveco, Volvo BM tractor and tanker trailer from the charity shop, remainder from a secondhand pram and toy shop that for some reason I had never previously visited. At both places I could have bought more Britains stuff, but it takes up a fair bit of space.

IMG_9749.thumb.JPG.0f59b627d2564242f75dcd12b639d140.JPG

Fuel tanker is pleasingly hefty, steering works.

IMG_9750.thumb.JPG.cbbc7d0f41eefeee502c565401101e0d.JPG

Would be nice to get a replacement cab for the tractor, but it's still tidy and the rear linkage/towing arrangement is functional so it can be put to work.

Corgi Jaguar XJ12C

Although it's a fairly decent custom someone's created.

I only really noticed looking at the base, and the black roof is done differently to factory

Corgi Dodge Kew Fargo, sliced just ahead of the rear axle, mated to the lower deck of a Corgi Carrimore mkIV trailer, sliced just aft of the front buttresses.  Redundant small-scale Humvee body trimmed down to make equipment lockers under the bed.  The rack behind the cab is a solitary surplus "rave" from a 1960s Britains farm cart that has long gone, lightly trimmed.  So now it can take its place in my recovery fleet!

100_0894.thumb.JPG.53eece20c00fb13b054cbdf39dc9b613.JPG

That is SOOO good! I love it!

Everything works so well, the wheels look just right on it and it manages to look like the period pics of those race transporters absolutely. i love the Ramrod company livery too.

We have a friend staying with us so wasn't able to spend much time looking at tat when we went to Hastings yesterday, but took a couple of pics of some interesting stuff.

Three lovely garages in one shop

Also saw this Matchbox Motorway set in a a place that's usually pretty cheap

IMG_9002.thumb.JPG.0919998d116f56ce9a782767bb822f3f.JPG

I didn't see any price and no one around to ask, plus we were with our friend, but I noticed there was an extension set as well, but I'd go back and see if anyone is interested

The only thing I bought was a Corgi 911 with an engine cover to put on my childhood green one.

IMG_9004.thumb.JPG.10ed2a3b5bf560e74e1f388bc483496c.JPG

I did see a couple of the Corgi XJCs one a plod one and one in blue I think, but I'm holding back on the larger scale models so left them.

@FakeConcern thank you!  Considering most of it came from you in almost throwaway condition (although the Dodge was better than that really) I'm pleased with the result.  It was very satisfying being able to use up some of the miscellaneous bits I've been hoarding collecting too.

Those garages are lush, I really love an old Grandad-build.  But someone needs to tell that shop (and many others) that the kids aren't playing with cars any more (sadly) and the Collectors - the Grandads - have no money left.

I didn't get anything from Dan's sale yesterday,so went to the car boot desperate for a diecast fix 😜.

I nearly came away empty handed, but went back to the stall where I'd seen this Scammell transporter20240310_124033.thumb.jpg.8b7f01a6798cee2fcd8310b51fe991dd.jpg

He wanted £25 for it & I ended up paying £20 which I thought was ok.It's missing the wheel chocks as usual, also part of one of the hydraulic rams for the middle deck. You can get replicas of these20240310_124133.thumb.jpg.01bb6f1d42918dc6abb0867ceee7d052.jpg

Also, there's no interior in the cab,but I think I've got one somewhere. It does have the ramp though20240310_124145.thumb.jpg.cecf4c19c5420b767a07bc1331734877.jpg

It did cramp my style a bit.

These were 50p each

These the Caravan for £2 and Camping thing in mint cond £5 are Mrs Concern's along with the speed boat which was £1 along with the others. I like the plastic Norevs very much and I'm pleased with Pug here. The Corgi Poodle Club I hope to repaint as the Chipperfields one.

i thought it should be a French Dinky as we had the Cortina and Corsair, but it has a British plate (B 64)

Another plastic Norev CX for £5, I really like this too!

Hopefully I can use the rear bumper on this as a template to replicate the missing one from last time!

Next I wanted to buy a Spot On Anglia and PA Cresta, but the ones on offer were unusual colours and so too pricey for me, plus I'd have felt bad re painting them! Anyway I got talking to the seller who tried to sell me these two Zodiacs for £20 and after missing out on the one Dan had yesterday I was interested.

He told me I could make one good one from the two and dropped the price to £15

Still too much so as I went to go he said £10, I know it's still too much but i cracked and have them!

On the way home we stopped at a junk shop in Storrington and I spotted a big box of tat, asked the lady at the counter who said £5 each or £40 for the lot. Managed to get these for £25 so about £2 each although some obviosly worth more than others. I thought the Lancia was a re paint and bought it to use the grill and a light on the orange one @Datsuncog has for me. It's actually a faded yellow and black one!

The Mack and Bedford transporters both had their trailer wheels rolling around the bottom of the box-result.

I know I said i wouldn't get any big scal Corgis, but picked up the X/19 anyway, if you want it let me know otherwise it can go in my growing collection of that scale!

Mini Bus with completely undamaged glazing is an almost impossible find. Seen boxed ones with cracks in them - such as my own
