To be fair I think they are both on the cheaper side

Play-worn tatty Mantas go for a fiver as it is.  The tampo livery on that Manta is very smart too, one of the better, I reckon.

So you also get a free Corvette to throw at a noisy neighbour.

Oh my, hasn't this thread been busy today!

It's been a struggle to keep up with it all and it's not hit 3pm yet :blink2:

The two Hondas just appeared, and I kept them because an ex-girlfriend had one years ago.

That was a lot to take in! What's the one at the back, Corgi?

Painted this over the weekend. 1mm masking tape is great for details but it's a right &*%£ to get off afterwards! Purple velvet faded from the bottom over Poundland sparkly silver, and my last set of Pixar CARS lowrider wheels. God I miss bootsales!

Was going to respond to this the other day...

Seeing a number of similar custom jobs (on Hot Wheels mainly) such as this one above, has anyone tackled the (to me) forgotten Superfast wacky fantasy cars instead?

I reckon all three of these deserve their front ends cutting off and adapting into something sleek and interesting

Tyre Fryer ; Woosh N Push ; Sooper Cooper

Fryer seems years ahead of the mainstream car 'look' into the Eighties on some Chrysler products.

Woosh is the best Austin Maxi model, ever - just look at it!   It's even got stabilising fins for added .... stability.

Sooper is a my favourite, cant quite place it but I see Studebaker influence there

That apocalypse car was really just a bit of fun with some matt black, colouring pencils and some dry brushing, I'd done so many detailed cars lately it was nice just to mess about.

I have got a fair few Matchbox and Corgi fantasy cars and they don't do an awful lot for me. As you say though, prime for a bit of customising. I really need to get some chemical metal for joining bodies and chassis together, Araldite is OK but takes forever to set

Hmm, Sooper Cooper

You'd be wanting to have a chat with @vulgalourabout that...

and Spot-On Isetta.

Great line-up Eddy. I've got an Isetta with a broken base waiting for me over in France. Was due to come over the sea in someone's luggage - but is marooned!

I've a few similar Mantas here and waiting to be posted iirc,so this will be staying sealed once it arrives

I've left the BMW's as they're not my thing really but he does have a few more odds and sods for sale including these at around £5

The tattier one of those Lite Aces is crying out for some 70's camper paint and different colour interior...

@Spottedlaurel - I'm interested in the Red Peugeot Expert van ('maintance mechanique' written on the side) the Proton mug (unless a Proton fan wants to snaffle it). Whats the Mercedes thing inside the mug?

Both van and mug have been claimed I'm afraid. Mercedes thing is a pen on a string. Do you want it? I'll happily send that one out as a freebie, no other purchase necessary.

Finally for this update, the Toe Jam and Earl is now in first colour.  The mirror gold is the base colour,

post-5335-0-69781900-1555879470_thumb.jpg

That gold looks amazing on that.  Which paint?  I'd like to get a couple of rattlers of that it looks the part.  The Tamiya gold I have is more like a metallic katsu curry colour

You've given me an idea..

FETCHA FETCHA

Six wheel Fetcha car transporter.  Blue windows might be an issue though.

It was either Wilko's or Rustoleum's mirror gold, I can't remember which.  Fetcha Fetcha needs to happen.

Otherwise there could be in these sad times FETCHA HEARSA

Six-wheeled Fetcha hearse, having roof stretched right back; painted all in black.  Ornate pin-striping to flanks and tailgate.  Row of flowers on roof.

/  Perhaps I should go now

That gold finish is impressive, whenever I use something that's supposed to be a shiny metal finish I get this

I picked up the Holden and De Tomaso simply because I never had them as a kid.  The Holden came from one of Barrow's many charity shops.

Is the EJ Holden a Dinky? I’ve never seen a period model of an old Holden, only modern stuff.

Posted

I have that Holden, boxed too, my Uncle looked after it as a lad.

Lunchtime so I had a wee go at the recent trend of photographing diecast while in the garden. I love doing this!

Yes please

There was something else you put aside for me I think?

Yes, I have this BMW 2002:

49575857291_5335443983_b.jpg

I do also have a carded black 2002 standard Hot Wheels, too.

Not sure if the 2002(s) and the 500 would be worthy of sending in one parcel, if you didn't want a very long wait? HOWEVER, I think @eddyramrod may have registered an interest for the 500 just prior to me putting up the photos, as he's a Gulf livery collector. If so, then I'm all of a quandry as to who lays claim to it, though hopefully something mutually beneficial can be sorted out!
