Found my own tat stall! Local town has a small market, this bloke was just packing up so I didn't ask prices, says he doesn't normally have loose diecast, but if anyone is looking for large boxed stuff;

oh Dinky Bedford OB car transporter and a Corgi Dodge Kew Fargo - both which i would like to add to the collection at some point.

who cares for newish big boxed toys when your man has those for sale loose!

mind i often find these sort of stalls are hidiously expensive for stuff like that cos, well, "its old" and "i know what its worth" and "i watch bargain hunt/antiques roadshow ect"

still, i might be mistaken....

He said they belong to someone else, which is usually code for "no negotiations on price"

@Datsuncog cheers for the latest installment, I should have done an unboxing video :-).

Hey, glad they all turned up safely! Given the unconventional nature of the packaging, I'm kinda glad you didn't... I really need to get some more small boxes for posting these out!

Hey, there's some nice stuff there... I think we've a few 1/18 lickers on here? Hopefully in future weeks you'll be able to tell if he's there to sell stuff, or just as a way of passing the day...

If it's still there on Tatman's next trip, can he grab the Tyrell p34 for me?

Sure thing! This box seems to show up periodically - I saw it there a few weeks ago, but not since. Mebbe he just grabs some random boxes out of the lock-up every Thursday? But yes, will try to snare the Tyrell for you - it was significantly less dusty and scratched than the others, so a good choice. Will keep you in the loop!

Would make a great candidate to recreate this:

Ohhh, fantastic!

If anyone reckons they'd like to have a bash at recreating the most shiteworthy camper I've ever clapped eyes on, I'll gladly post the silver Alpine out to them absolutely free.

On the subject of Bedford TMs, I've only seen two civilian ones, both in NZ and both around 2011 or 2012. Here's my Commodore parked next to a house bus one, 7 years ago:

35517362821_3b08a579c9_z.jpg

Later on, the owner was lodging in this on the property of someone I know and I wouldn't be surprised if it's still there! If memory serves, this was Detroit powered too, for extra housing bonus points.

Cheers for the TM info; again, like the Rancho, it was one of those toys that was so familiar to me yet it irked me that I could never see any on the road.

But the MB40 Horse Box does bear a stunning resemblance to the real life house bus!

Packing worked well, no complaints from me!

For individual 1:64 or similar diecast that will go in a large letter - I find these very good. If you buy 100, 15p a pop.

Fifty years between these two models, but I reckon they still go together pretty well.

Cheers guys!

Back row of 1/18s; far right, the red car looks loke a 1949-51 Mercury.  In maroon it's probably the American Graffiti edition.  Depending on price I would be extremely interested in that one!  So yes, I would very much appreciate you finding out for me, if you don't mind.

Shame I'm away this Sat, I'll have a look when I'm back if no-one else is in the area beforehand

Picked these three up today... I have no space for anything and cash is tight but just look at them! The Bova Futura, complete with one odd front corner, is eleven and a quarter inches long!!!

I've given that Futura a quick make over, I said to Datsuncog I'd paint it purple, and I have. Will go to charidee, just wanted to save it really. Can add to any parcel from me of course...

I especially like the Transit, Passat and Trekker. I have the last (and a Beetle) but it has a wheel missing

It's ace - well recommended. I'm going to keep an eye on the series to see if they do a Cabtec Pegaso Troner.

Thanks to that above post, I have gone on eBay and purchased one of the larger Pegaso car transporters....will it make it to the UK with no damage?!

Also had to get (just the one) car to plonk on top of it.

For those who are buying, I paid 16 quid for the Ekus/VW LT thing, 20 quid for the tanker and 20 quid for the Futura. Dave Heron at Dave's Diescast Models in the north east were who I got them from (model show today), think he is online as well.

How about....

A pair of radials, mounted inline; from two scrap Matchbox Mini Ha Ha?

If I’ve counted it right, you will then have the sole 20-cylinder ‘Pi-Eyed Rider’

Finally found a use for Models of Yesteryear stuff!  I used most of the front end of a Packard to resolve the one bit of this that I wasn't happy with.  Previously, it sported a big V8 up front, fully exposed, and it just looked... lazy... which honestly it was.  This kit-bash hot rod hearse is part of my Chaos army (it's a Games Workshop thing), and this has been through a couple of iterations while I've procrastinated on final look.  The whole army I'm building is glam rock themed and this will probably be some sort of light troop transport thing.  Few more bits still to add, I'll be making use of the old side-mount wheel posts to stick some guns on, and there's filler work here and there that needs sorting.  I'm hoping the final paint scheme (it's partially painted here) will hide the worst bits of it's patchwork construction, you'd be amazed how good leopard print is at hiding poor filler work.

Great to see Lesney's view of what a typical gift set recipient was like.....

The Siku catalogues are great, looks like I have a few that eere older than I thought.

Green BMW 633 and ADAC Passat MK1.

Tha ks for scanning these in as always.

I'd love to see someone convert one of those Bovas to RHD and paint it in a UK livery. Those Siku trucks with the fold-up loads are amazing, I would have loved one of those as a child.

I had the 3 matchbox popup roadways loved them but used to really annoy me that they didn't align with each other.
