Finally found a use for Models of Yesteryear stuff!  I used most of the front end of a Packard to resolve the one bit of this that I wasn't happy with.  Previously, it sported a big V8 up front, fully exposed, and it just looked... lazy... which honestly it was.  This kit-bash hot rod hearse is part of my Chaos army (it's a Games Workshop thing), and this has been through a couple of iterations while I've procrastinated on final look.  The whole army I'm building is glam rock themed and this will probably be some sort of light troop transport thing.  Few more bits still to add, I'll be making use of the old side-mount wheel posts to stick some guns on, and there's filler work here and there that needs sorting.  I'm hoping the final paint scheme (it's partially painted here) will hide the worst bits of it's patchwork construction, you'd be amazed how good leopard print is at hiding poor filler work.

Fifty years between these two models, but I reckon they still go together pretty well.

Cheers guys!

This arrived this morning,

Such a nice little thing, and in such nice condition too.

Chuffed

Thank you Split_pin and Datsuncog for their participation in this caper.

Another recent find was this Husky toys Ford D series Trasporter trailer, found the trailer less the cab at a car boot for £1.00.It was in fair condition, so thought it a good buy.

I already Had a cab in good but extremely tatty shape, missing most of its paint and tyres.A quick repaint of the cab,and I think it all looks quite good.

"Wotcha think Smoll Eddy?"

"I don't sell diesel M8"

As usual with a used car,the first port of call is the local petrol station.

Seeing as this is an Itiallian car please meet Piccolo Eddy!!

"You like this little Fiat then smo...I mean Piccolo Eddy?"

"Mama Mia,magnifico m8"

Erm...I think that means he likes it!

That's fantastic, it looks right at home there. Definitely a better life for it than hiding under a 1/24 scale lorry trailer in the loft!

There have been several members here who have acquired the Matchbox Mini R53 Cooper - who was it that I was buying one from again? Confused!

Twas me old chap, but if there are others you'd prefer to source from, I'm easy! Happy to send it still though.

Following our purchase of a 1974 Wales and Edwards Rangemaster 3 wheel, single headlight Milk Float I needed a model for my collection. No exact model seems available. There are twin headlight 1/43 "James Bond" versions, but they are quite expensive. I have settled for a 1/50 Papillon Toys, again with twin headlights in Braziers Dairies livery.

I wouldn't mind one of those Mitsubishis, are you looking for anything in particular?

Majorette Chrysler 180,or a majorette Plymouth Fury ideally, but I'm open to anything really,or Majorette caravans or a boat trailer with boat would be good too.

A Matchbox Fiat 131 woulds also be of interest.

Try me,my interests are wide and varied

Fiat 131, you say?  The Matchbox model, as you know, was the Abarth rally car, but there was also a similar-sized model by (I think) Polistil, of a relatively plain pre-facelift 4dr.  I have one upstairs, made up to look like the facelift one I had in 1986...

Yes,it's the Abarth one that would interest me the most, but I may be interested in the Polistil one if you wish to trade?

What model are you interested in Eddy?
