It's no great secret what's going on here but thought I might as well...

Leg 1 - walk to the train station

IMG_20260306_080344.jpg.18a9957b7fa74cded276b040d45b5dfd.jpg

Breakfast - Greggs sausage butty and an orange juice. Neither lasted long enough for photos.

Got to have the lord on side when you're crossing the border into hostile territory.

Trundling along towards the collection destination now. The sun has come out to play. A sign of things to come?

Thanks @The Moog. Really enjoyed the drive home, it cruises well. I look forward to my pies and square sausage! Any tips on cooking the sausage?

Grill or pan fry, oven okay at a push. Serve hot on morning roll with brown sauce.

Pan fry, no oil, the sausage will discharge enough oil to keep you frying for the next 6 months, oh and tomato sauce...bangin

The sausage ceremony has been postponed until tomorrow now. Too full this morning!

Glad Scotland decided to put on the sunshine to welcome you here!  It is very much a nice old bus.

Sausage is always better with corners!

The oil pressure got a bit hairy (0 bar) when I hit traffic at Manchester. Probably due to being sat at 3500-4000rpm for 3hrs solid. Picked back up with revs applied though. No sign of a leak and registering half way on the dipstick. Will see whether a change of oil and filter improves the situation.

Yeah, to be fair the engine wasn't clattering or anything. I started it up from cold yesterday and it rose straight to 3bar. Not overly concerned.

Realised there's a full bottle of genuine Merc oil in the boot. No harm in seeing whether it improves matters.

Sausage update: dry fried this morning and it was delightful. @scooobydont wasn't kidding about the oil! Delicious.

It doesn't look like it's actually at 0, but a bit above , maybe 8 or 9 psi. If it didn't light a warning, or set off a buzzer I'd say it's ok, especially if you're not sure of the grade of the oil in it.

That photo was when crawling along in drive (naughty me). Like you say though, even at idle it didn't put a light on.

I had similar on mine recently. An oil and filter change improved matters.

I'm assuming your temp gauge isn't working?

Yeah what you've written in your thread was the basis for my thoughts.

Correct on the temp gauge, I need to investigate. Watched some videos of people stripping the instrument cluster down last night. Apparently the little servo(?) behind the needle can fail?

The odometer doesn't work either, which seems to be repairable with some super glue.
