When did you last see a C4 Coupe?

Inspired by the When Did You Last See a 309 thread.

Citroen C4 Coupe in particular a VTS especially a VTS 180 petrol

At the moment I can see one anytime as the one I owned and now belonging to daughter is on my drive

I recall asking this in some thread or another on here about a year ago, as it suddenly occurred to me I had not seen one for a long time. The last one I recall seeing was a silver 5 door that was owned by someone who lived near my house with holey sills but it must have been about 4 or 5 years since it disappeared.

Don't feel bad, I've had three, one was written off another was written off then repaired and later scrapped! The third is the one shown above.

The five door isn't a Coupe and I see them more frequently than the three door Coupe (apart from the one on my drive!).

Amazingly they shared most parts of the chassis and the roof

Edit; Soz @Split_Pin having read that through it sounds a bit antagonistic, I don't mean it to be, your contribution is appreciated as always!

It didn't read that way at all, don't worry!

Its even longer since I've seen a Coupe version. I'd like one even if its just for the steering wheel  😀

They are proper quirky Citroens and so underrated!

Fixed boss steering wheel, all digital dash with four screens...

Not a VTS, but there's a c4 coupe near me that keeps popping up for sale every few months. Sadly lumbered with that absolutely SHITE semi auto/robotised manual box, or i'd probably have taken a punt on it.

In a way i guess it's probably even more impressive one with the worst box possible is the survivor, regardless! 😂

I really like them, was a little spate of VTS's coming up for sale about a year or 2 back. Every single one of them either had a cracked windscreen, or a recently replaced windscreen. Never seen a non VTS with that issue.

And I owned that one quite a few years ago. I think the last one I saw was that one when I went to Inverness after having bought it for Fake. That's a few years ago now too. It has a glass roof which was wrapped when I bought it, when I removed the wrap it was cracked. My insurance replaced the roof for my glass excess, I think it was £50 at the time.

I see this one now and again. I always appreciate a model orientated registration.

That's a nice pre facelift Loeb, they did make a few VTS 180 Loebs as well and a few facelifts with the THP engine.

When I had the previous VTS I would sometimes see a Diesel VTS HDI from the Facebook C4uk group at Citroen shows with the number plate C4VTS. I just checked and it's now on a C4 VTS 180 petrol.

Someone on the C4 UK FB group has just spent a lot of money repainting one with that gearbox...

15 years ago I did contemplate a red one for sale on the forcourt at Duff Morgan Citroen. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it had steel wheels and trims as opposed to alloys.

There's a delivery driver in Stamford who has one with a cunt trumpet fitted, or he's drilled the airbox. I don't care enough to ask. It goes 'dnnnnnnnnnnnnnnernerwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaooooop' every time he rags it away in first. It sounds fucking shit.

He drives like an arsehole. Someone should tell him that they're a bit wank, and rather slow. I'd rather hoped he'd have smacked it into a 15th century building by now, but one can dream.

I had a five-door. Citroen UK were cumfarts to deal with when there was a problem (there were many).

Once I'd sorted out the factory's penchant for making wheel bearings and discs for it out of piss-soaked brie, it mostly behaved itself, until I dared to go 100 miles over the service interval (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)  and the DV6 did the thing all the Citroen apologists say they don't do - grenade.

It was worth £250 at that point so I gave up and bought a SEAT Leon instead. VWFS are also cunts, and whomever designed that fucking silica bag into the cooling system needs maiming.

The C4? 6.5/10. My 306 was better.

I saw one yesterday because there's one at the storage where I keep my Corona. A piss yellow one. One of the handful that exists here.

Scott Yellow? That's pretty rare, if you get a chance to take a pic of it and post it here some time, I'd be very interested.

I do have a picture, but it's a private storage area so I'm not going to post it here, sorry.

However, have this picture of the same car in public place back in 2018 I lifted from a FB group. I'm pretty sure it's different owners as it's now seems in much better condition.

Yeh that silicate bag was a great idea 😂. That and leaving a load of casting sand in the engine block really “ helps “ coolant flow 🙄

That's great thank you! I don't think that is a VTS, I'm not sure, but I think Scott Yellow was a VTS only colour in the UK. Funnily enough the first C4 I drove was a VTS HDI that was for sale in a dealership in Flimwell.

I've seen that one on the C4 UK facebook group, he thinks it's the only Scott Yellow VTS left in this country and may well be right!

You can't fool me, that's not a Coupe!

I still like the C4 Mk1 Hatch though and saw this today (no arty edit)

I wonder if any of these divs had the MISERY of balancing centreless wheels.

As seemingly no-one in Greater Manchester could, ever.

'Uhhh well the machine says' yeah well fuck your machine bucko, the cunting car still throws weight at 70; my jowls be not soothed.

I'm sure the Resolfen wheels on the VTS aren't centreless as the aftermarket wheels I put on had to have an adapter ring for it (there's a name for them, but I forget it). The XM I had did use centreless wheels, but my local mechanic and tyre place balanced them no problem.

Oof check you out, competent tyre bays and all that
