Is it a Discovery 3, which to make it more reliable, responsive, and refined, had the TDV6 removed and an O series diesel that was found at the bottom of a garden fitted instead.

How are you all so bad at this?  Crikey, I must have picked an absolute winnermobile.

This is a fourgonne conclusion

A Talbot of some nature, preferably a Horizon Diesel or a Sunbeam with the 954 Imp engine for maximum misery.

I'm guessing 1949 Kaiser Vagabond.

Amazing suggestions here, some of which are very plausible, all of which are still wrong.  That Kaiser is spectacular, it really is a shame it's not one of those.

A Montego estate that has been upgraded* with a 1.3 A-Series.  You wouldn't be the first on this forum...

Sadly not, what a thing that would've been to do, great car that one.

Well,it's vulgalour,so I'm not expecting it to be something that will be sensible, reliable,or not in need of work,so I'm going to say another beige princess so he can swap the plates when one or the other breaks

No! Drove those (4 sp) back in the day and it has to be the worst rendition of a good diesel matched to the wrong gearbox. K series ones were ace by comparison.
But my second guess will be:

Daf 44?

Keeping it within the BL stable, is it a Maxi in need of some light* recommissioning?
