Its broken of course. At least in that respect it will fit in with the majority of the existing two wheeled fleet. Shouldn't take too much to get running and is of age to be reaistered historic thus cheap investment opportunity. Thats how ill be selling it to her anyway.

Anyone else treated themselves for Christmas?

She's just clocked it. Dam ebay linked to her email. Luckily is full of Christmas love/wine and whiskey so all good so far.

The boxes of diecasts that have arrived here recently probably count, I think; I have sent cold hard cash to the supplying Shiters so they are certainly purchases.  Better not buy any more for a while though!

Was stalled on the purchase after receiving the news all contractors were canned.......  Recovery truck can wait I suppose - would've used it to pick up the bookmarked 4cv so double save I think.

I bought myself an early fully loaded manual Golf V5 as a spares car for £500 in an identical colour to my Golf V5.

I’ve found that recently it’s getting really hard to get spares for my early automatic V5, so this was the ideal scenario.

The problem is it’s quite a nice example and only needs a throttle body, so I feel bad using it as a spares car.

Wow, well played sir. Rear arches look very like the ones on my mates 38 Chevy. Good bit of cab space too. Nice.

Ah mate. Good things will come. Sometimes hard to see at the time though I firmly believe every kick in the teeth has out me in a better place in the end.

I know its a cliche though they are rarely wrong.

Ours is a slightly later stripped Vision. One of the best field bikes we have, shame currently it is a non runner.

I bought this 2 seater from an interesting chap down in the Ashdown forest.

It's going to be raised up a bit on wooden blocks and have pride of place in the comfy end my workshop.

I also spotted this the other day and lusted after it and thought you could do probably do the odd funeral for quirky folk with it too.

Got myself a screen washer bottle for my Mk1 XR2. Correct one, not cracked like the current one and for the princely sum of £10. Xmas win!

Seat - because my back - and knees - protest now when on the floor.

Trolley - because the floor and slam panel are not the best for storing parts.

Wing protector ( it's in the bubble wrap ) - used snap on cos all the gear no idea etc...

Wurth brake cleaner bottle - aerosols from halfords work out expensive.

Milwaukee shockwave deep impact sockets - pity I cannot afford any of their cordless stuff.

Digital thermometer from Draper.

Sealey large torx bits ( up to t100).

And a couple of saws.

As you were.....

I only just bought one of those cheap trolleys a few months ago, always told myself I don't need a portable workstation, but it's been a game changer
