Was lovely to meet you again. I like the moody car park pic; looks like a “business” meeting of 2 underworld characters in Riga.

I’m starting to think this is @HMC’s 2nd account and he’s just selling cars to himself. @Weird Car you need to change your name to HMC2

Just got home, and I must say WHAT A CAR!!! it’s like driving around in one of those ‘silent rooms’ honestly it’s so quiet at around 30mph that i could actually hear my blood pumping, I had to turn the radio on so I wouldn’t go insane, and at 70 you can hear the absolute faintest of road noise, averaged 35 to the gallon and used roughly a quarter of a tank coming home, comfort wise it’s not as plush as the Rolls but it’s honestly not far off at all, I’m really happy with it!

New car incoming today to replace the Hearse, something I’ve had my eye on for a little while, it’s going to be a very interesting and slow drive home, stay tuned

Slower than a Hearse?

Reportedly good for 100mph in its day but that day was an awfully long time ago

It lives to fight another day!

Kinda warms the cockles a little bit that someone  patched it up again!

Devon knows how they make it so crusty

As its showing as taxed I assume its being used, I wonder if they have repaired it or are just using its MOT exemption to tax it.

Less William more Harold at the moment... but I'm sure your William-ness will prevail to achieve a winning Conquest.

What exactly are the symptoms? Both should be fairly obvious.

It was running fine until I had to put fuel in it, they only had e10 at the pumps and the fuel gauge doesn’t work so I thought I’d risk it, when paying for the fuel I noticed it dripping from the radiator so topped it up and it was fine for an hour or so, as I’m joining a slip road it was down in power, coughing and spluttering, then died and wouldn’t re start

Sounds like an E10 problem to me. My t2 hated the stuff. I carry a bottle of snake oil that I pour in first on the rare occasions that I'm forced to use it.

I'm hazarding blocked fuel filter and rusted tank. I'm not sure where the filter is on these - it may be in-tank gauze. Run along the fuel lines.

Could also be water contaminated.

Run along the lines and clean everything filtering the fuel.

May also be blocked carb jets - but before you dismantle run a line off a can and see if 'Norman' runs OK.

Then you will know it's the pipes/tank.

If you have it  - blow some compressed air down the fuel lines if the tank end will detach without all the fuel running out.

Possibly fuel pump - perishable diaphragm or if electric - points.

The other thing may be duff points - lot of aftermarket rubbish about. Get some proper ones.

Then try coil/condenser.
