Good old Autoshite 'aye !!It's great knowing (well i hope anyway) ... that if any of my cars came up for sale on Ebay in such circumstances, that you guys and gals would help. :D "They don't make 'em how they used too"

I just fired this off to him:

Hi there, can you please send me your Bailiff Certificate Number before I bid. If this, and the other cars you have listed, are being repossessed against money owed then I assume you are a registered bailiff? If this is not the case then you do not have the right to sell them and are actually committing an offence if you do. Obviously I want to make sure you are 'legit' otherwise whoever wins this auction will have entered into a legally binding contract with you that you are unable to make good on, and you will be in breach of ebay rules. Needless to say if you do take payment for this car and turn it over to the winning bidder, and you are not a registered bailiff, then you will also be liable for prosecution for selling stolen property, and the winning bidder may be for handling stolen property. Obviously this is not a situation I want to find myself in, and I hope you understand my need for reassurance before placing a bid.I look foward to your prompt reply.

frankly i'm not sure how much of that legal garbage is even true, but if he doesn't reply or refuses to send his number i think we can assume he is not on the level.... I really hope this gets sorted out for mr.B

Sounds scarry enough to me Barrett , what a shit situation , hope it gets sorted soon

If this really is a genuine bailiff's sale then the seller should be registered with eBay as a business. They aren't and so these items are listed as being from a private seller. As such they are in breach of eBay rules and regs and so can be reported to for this. Also a little nod to the inland revenue might not go amiss. I'm sure they'd want their cut of any profits made.

Hi Guys. It goes legal Monday. They have no Court Order. There have been NO legals at all, to-date.They are NOT Bailiffs(although they are being advised by one) It is a personal Ebay account.Debt is disputed- on several fronts.I can't really state more than that now - other than to say that -if any goes through- I will pursue their return, plus costs..This happened to me once before (-nearly 20 years ago)- which is why I majored on purchasing barns rather than rent. Ironic, heh.It took years- but I got everything (bar one) back, plus punitive damages.Got to say the values placed so far are interesting though. Kinda dispiriting to see some of the damage they've caused - presumably because they arent familiar with my fork lift!Cant ask you to create merry hell ,can I? Wouldnt be right......(Oh-Pog- thats covered. Advised of a legal blackhole (by DVLA dude) many moons back . 100+ retained that way....)

Jeez NB, that sounds like an absolute nightmare. Hope you can sort it.One thing I'm a bit concerned about though - is having various 'shiters bidding on them going to help the situation or not? I'm sure nobody here would want to make the situation worse but I'm concerned that they might?

If that's the case I've just reported a fraudulent listing to Ebay. Hope this gets resolved soon.

Hey at least he made the effort and gave it a grey top, that has to count for something.

Noticed he's just posted this on the listing for the Strada 85 CL"Due to time wastersbids from peoplewith a postive feedback score of12 or less will not be accepted and will be removedand will be removed"Wanker, good luck with this Mr BickleWonder if it might be an idea to post an Ebay listing, that explains the situation, something that corresponds with the cars listed, and timed to land somewhere near his listings ?Although I wouldn't know what the Legalities of it would be.

Posted

I really wouldn't bid on any of those cars, as it is obviously going to get legal very soon. Either the cars will end up being owned by Mr Bickle, and the vehicle would be his and you will have lost your money, or face trying to recover it.or (probably a lot less likely) the cars will end up belonging to 'Teresa B', and you will have purchased it.

Blimey, good luck with sorting this out Nigel.I have to admit that as soon as I saw the R12 estate I texted a mate of mine because he's bonkers about old Renners like that.... before I knew the story behind these cars  . Guess I should text him quickly and say "don't bid!" ? EDIT: Done!BTW that A team van just made my morning, crazy foo'-s! :) Mark.

Here's something which doesn't belong to Mr Bickle.

This has the potential to be very rusty indeed, especially if it's been parked up in the woods for any length of time, but having owned a Prisma with the same engine I can confirm these are a right giggle to drive.

hi i have also reported them Monsieur Bickle :D

110508666367, 110508656267, 110508650374, 110508646212, 110508653558, 110508660176, 110508662965, 110508668365, 110508669740, 110508673761, 110508675308http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/teresab643/this sellers has 10 cars for sale that are not his property nor is he a baliff and the vehicles are at present in the middle of a legal dispute, so winners of these cars will not get them even if they pay..

dunno if it'll help but hope you get you cars back

I reported all of them to eBay also. You can also get a listing removed if it contains profanity. Might be an idea to report the Strada one too.Oh and the feedback is over 1000 on both my accounts so my bids should stand. Bollocks to his 12 feedback or more shit!

I have also reported them,,,,,and called them a load of names

Am I mistaken in thinking that the Daf is an ex-autoshite staff car or similar.Seem to remember a bit about a Darlington registered (HN) Daf being bought up north and then brought down to the midlands, on this very site.......... :?:

I can't be arsed quoting and editing but I'd like to know what this prick means by Bailiffs Advice?I was a bailiff and the only advice I'm qualified to give is "Get your bellend pierced! The ladies love it!"Solicitors advise. Bailiffs just enforce. I smelt a rat when I saw the ad and for once I'm glad to say I told you so. He now knows he is on shaky legal ground and I can see the advert getting pulled by either himself or Ebay. Barret's well worded question has started the ball rolling in a positive direction.

Good point! I have just reported them for this. Hopefully the general landslide of grief they must be getting means that the listings will get pulled soon?

He never responded to me so.....

Hi there. As you have not responded to my earlier question I can only assume you are not the rightful owner of this vehicle. I believe I have given you enough time to respond as you have had time to edit the listing. I have now reported the item, and the others you have listed, to Ebay under the heading 'items believed to be stolen'. Unless you can provide either proof of ownership or proof that you have a legal right to sell these items I suggest you remove the listings immediately. Handling stolen property is a serious offence which usually carries a prison term as well as a fine and damages paid to the owner. I hope this is not the case but I feel it is my duty to inform Ebay of any suspected wrong doings. I have given you the benefit of the doubt and not informed the police on this occaision, but I suspect you may be hearing from them soon anyway!

Have a good day!

I hope that gives him something to think about!

anyway, on a lighter note, I assume this two-tone hunk of love is the one Dan_Hirst was considering buying? go on big man, it's still cheap!

Nah, I only pondered it, I'm sure it'll find a good home. It's not hopeless enough for me.

TOP WORK GANG!

here's the sequence of events as may now happen.

1) the listings get pulled

2) the cars get squished by the 'bailiffs' and sold as scrap

3) everyone loses.

4) the end

If you have a problem you need fucking up further, and if you an find them, maybe you can call the Autoshite TEAM...

Posted

Pog wrote "2) the cars get squished by the 'bailiffs' and sold as scrap"they cannot do that without a warrant from the county court.

Posted

No, they cannot LEGALLY. However, 1x squishing section, load them onto a truck, over the bridge, cash in hand. They stop chasing the debt. "cars, what cars?"It's already clear that these are people who either do not understand or follow a set protocol...
