That Beemer reminds me of a Roald Dahl story back in the 1970's.

I was thinking that. Although the one in the story was a 3.3 Li. Top speed of 129mph, if memory serves. And probably a right fugging handful on a wet roundabout.

Well remembered! From the short stories The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar IIRC. It was made into a Tales of the Unexpected episode with a 633csi.

That Princess is pure shite gold, especially because it has the AR badge on the frontend.

That Princess looks older than it actually is...when was the range facelifted with the square headlights?

They didn't. Trapezoidal headlamps were fitted to them all from 1975, but I think the circular lamps came in with the O series engine, so they're fitted to four pot only.

I think AD might be talking about the Ambassador but I can't remember when they came out.

Wasn't it a blue 735 or 733 saloon in the tv adaptation? think the story was originally called the hitchhiker

I've been looking on Youtube for ages for that episode. I thought it was a 6 series in the TV show but I may be mistaken. I may try the IMCDB if I get time.

IMDB says,"Again this hasn't dated too well with horrible fashions, outdated police procedures & pretty awful looking cars"

For £1099, with no mention of any MoT and clearly in need of a fair amount of work, that Prelude is rather less than “STUNNING!â€Â
