If you have a reserve on it, why start at 99p??????

And yes, fucked is a kind way to decribe it. I know I fall for lame-duck projects but really.... there isn't enough money in the world to make me take this on.

I'm not aware of any auction where the bidding starts at the reserve. Why do you think that's wrong? Besides, Ebay seems to do cheaper rates if you start at 99p. Well, for smaller stuff it does anyway.

I guess starting at a low price, with a reserve, means you can also see what someone is willing to pay for it, even if that doesn't meet the reserve. There's no reason why you can't then offer it to the highest bidder if you decide to lower the price. Means it won't go for buttons (which to be honest whats left of that camper should), and also people aren't put off bidding by putting it at a ludicrous start price, which that Campers owner probably wants.

/\ /\ /\ That Mazda looks nice, however, no mot and a loose dashboard coupled with the (alleged) phact that the current owner has spent £2000 on it will probably mean he want's at least £1000 for it. For a car as without an mot and a wiring problem that's way too much for me, as rare as it is. Shame really, i wonder how much he spent on the stainless exhaust, coilovers and Magnecor leads. Aside from that there is the boost issue and this:

"And that's all, 99% of the work has already been done but due to an expanding family I just don't have money to throw at it any more and its going to waste just sitting in my garage. I have spent over £2k getting this car to where it is now and won't let it go for peanuts"

But he also states this:

"I'm after an Escort RS Turbo or Fiesta RS Turbo similar condition to my Mazda

may also consider a Turbo converted XR3i or Turbo'd mk3 or mk4 Escort Cabriolet"

Confusing really

999, which emergency service do you require please?

'The fire brigade recovery service please'

Sorry sir, could you repeat that please?'

'I SAID THE FIRE BRIGADE RECOVERY SERVICE PLEASE'.

'Never heard of them, what's your problem, sir?'

'My Montego TD estate has broken down and I need a lift back from Wrexham'

'brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr'

God alone what the licencing laws are with something like that, but what a laugh.

*Did they actually make a 1.6 Sherpa by the way, wouldn't that be a 1.8 'O' series?

This popped up on ebay this morning for £2700, the daughters selling it after her dad's died, It's very local to my dad's so collection was easy, It seemed like a good price but it was removed after a hour, not sure if it sold or not, Shame i haven't got the cash.

This is the same car 2 years ago that i took at a show, i remember seeing it quite often due to the girl on the front.

Here's your chat up line: Tell her you can speak Welsh and when she asks you to prove it say 'Llay down and Prestatyn'.

*Coat fetched.

Now, anyone for an Aixim? I would like to like one of these but cannot fit in one...

'

The reason i stopped driving it was the drive shaft in picture 10 is touching an engine bolt as i could see the metal filings'

Lob a Hayabusa engine in it, drive round an industrial estate and film it for Youtube. Job done.

Comes with two trophies. I'd imagine (despite what the vendor says) one is for 'Biggest Twat in Stafford' and the other for 'the most trips past McDonald's with his arm out of the window'.

Looking at that interior, how the fugging hell are you supposed to drive it? Is that a speaker where the steering wheel should be? And where is the speedometer? :?

Any of those Fords can be maintained by bodging, with a selection of rocks for tools. This approach wouldn't work on the Mazda, which may be his issue. I know those era Mazdas are basically good cars, but the niggly issues can be a swine to fix. Wouldn't say no to that one meself, but I'd be budgeting to get the suspension set up properly, 'cos I'll bet he's made a pig's ear of that too!
