FORD ESCORT GHIA 1296cc

That's the extent of the description. Looks alright though.

Classified ad price: £995.00

I bet it gets bought by the Ipswich Escort Baron, who skilfully sells them to the poor folk of the West, just to make them drive a bloomin' long way! :P

^'Kin ell! So tacky it's quite good! So many exclamation marks! Looks well built! With quality components! Doubt the reserve is in any way realistic! Somebody's in for a fall! it was just an old Volvo after all...

One for the late registration thread I think.............

Makes me smile when i see a pic of the dash in one of those, the state of the art switches on the dashboard and then they seem to be using std. B.L. items for the lights and indicator stalks....it's probably just me but i think that's great, or even gr9

Oh and those glasses could do with another wash, it looks like they were done once, in 1985  Love it to bits, it would bankrupt me in less than a week though!

*Anorak alert.

I think the V12 Jag saloons carried on a while after XJ6 production had finished for the XJ40 because they hadn't worked out how to shoe horn the 12 cylinder engine into the XJ40.

Yup, I think it was about 92 before they killed the series 3 V12. I've seen a few K/L and even M platers.

Wonder where that Ford Laser came from then?

I've seen plenty when I was living in HK.

'whilst carrying out the work, I rustproofed as I went'

'all work carried out to a high standard by myself (engineer).'

'I would ask a favour of the lucky winner, and that would be if they could kindly send me some photos of the finished car so I can see how good it turns out.'

Lucky? :D

Never seen one like that before. What is its alter-ego??? Look like Toyota Starlet wheels.

Was eyeing that up on eBay earlier, it'd be a brave/rich/mental man who took that on I reckon. Not too far from here but I'm only one of those three so far that reason I'm out.

It's even closer to Mr B though, maybe he's on his way with an A-frame as we type?!

An early Manta B like that would be something I'd love to have, almost as much as an A. Spec and colour of that one is perfect, though is the rear quarter a slightly different colour?

I remember one being for sale in CCW a few years back for less than £1k, a week or two later it was with a dealer at £2495. Wish I'd gone for it at the original price.
