Fed up because I've got a week before my Focus goes over the bridge and I still haven't sorted a replacement car yet. I got mucked about with the potential re-purchase of my old Mazda and there doesn't seem to be any good cheap motors out there. Honestly, ebay cars are now 90% Spares or Repair nowadays! If I don't find something next week then i may self-combust with all the stress and worry.

Isn't there a lovely old Bluebird making the rounds of the forum at the moment?

+1 on the weather, I'm taking the Cherry to a show on  Sunday at Grasmere.  I can see myself sweeping mud out of it when I get home, and my dog will probably need drying off...

The only thing that actually keeps me away from SE5a ownership is in fact those ignorant folks slagging the Scimitar off as some form of uber-plastic-pig, which it absolutely isn't. I don't know for how much longer I can resist and become able to ignore those folks and the fact of being frowned upon. I think now is a good time to look into Scimitar ownership, because numbers are still dwindling at an alarming pace, and prices will shoot up in the foreseeable future.

As for that bloke on the Club forum - stupid gits come from all walks of life, they aren't exclusive to the Reliant Scimitar Club, trust me on that.

You've kept away from car because some divs think they're an 'uber plastic pig'? That's just daft, sorry.

I think the Bluey has gone to Lanky Tim's....I may have found something very, very cool though!

It doesn't have the cd6000 black rds radio in by any chance? Ours gave up the ghost today! :)

Retro rides is hard work and full of anal one up manship prats. Its a last resort for selling.

Blurry low res photos clearly taken on some shitty camera phone used as photos from a "Trader" on the Autotrader website.

Fuxake, if you want to sell a car do a decent write up and take a few decent shots with something that cost more than £9.99 from Carpornwarehouse.

Nearly 6 months since mum lost her war with cancer, thought i was doing ok. Ventured into facebook and found that dad had cancelled her account we set up to keep relative and friends in the loop throughout her journey. He told me ages ago that he was doing it and i was like whatever. However unfriending her tonight has unleashed a wave of angst and emotion that i hadnt anticipated.

fuck shit bollocks cunt arse dogwank

Mrs thestag is sometime about as fucking sensative as a nazi at a bah mitzvah and that is really boiling my piss. She honest cannot be that stupid.

Oh and the stag burst a head gaskit and is proving to be a royal pain in the arse the get apart to fix.

As you were, normal service will resume shortly

You are right. I know it is. It has kept me away, which would have actually been daft in past (i.e. better) times. However, I have enough solid rubber mongs walk up to me telling me the most retarded bollox about my cars as is. Just buy a Rover P6 and you will quickly see what I mean.

I can't see the end of it if I'd egress from a Scimitar and actually have hands-on experience in that field, albeit thankfully short term.

I have less and less tolerance for this ever more widespread retardedness and am actually taking evasive action by trying to own cars that attract as few of those pillocks as possible. The purchase of a Scimitar would inevitably lead to them multiplying around me and before long I'd have massacred a few of them.

On a similar note to the above, I also really like scimitars but being told by some grunting oaf that 'Princess Anne had one of those' every time you stop for petrol would begin to become rather wearing after a while.

strangely, I was never offered this snippet while driving a GTE. I had a lot of kids staring and asking what it was. The occassional muppet insist he used to own loads of those capris, but the 'pinto in mine was not as good as the 3 litre capri he owned' or 'that capri you have has the wrong wheels'.

My favourite was some old codger who praised me for owning his favourite sports car " I always wanted one of those RENAULT SIMCAs, but the wife didnt like them"

Which is factually incorrect, since she still owns it.

Annie's had more than one, in fact.  Scimitars, that is...

The bluey... Not that i've got any plans to sell, but if a shiter is in need of a set of wheels I could be persuaded.

I'm still enjoying Bluebird ownership. Think i've found a nice warm garage to get it out of the elements too... Although the owner of the garage doesn't know that yet... it's the wife's granny. I think I need to do a few more odd jobs for her before I can pressurise her into letting me use it.

so yep, the only day of rain for 2 weeks is today when I was booked in for the Weston Park car show. Forecast for the next week is great too....typical.

I hope rock-Lobster didn't go to Hoghton Tower as I got an email saying it was cancelled.....at 7.50am!

It really did. That and "they never rust."

Fucking Greece again. Spent the last couple of weeks praying to the Flying Spaghetti Monster to see if we can avoid having elections for the THIRD time within 14 months. Luckily, disaster was avoided, although the governing coalition is a bit less stable now. I don't want to talk politics on Faceache, I need more Autoshite in my life.

Also this new forum doesn't seem to be very happy with Chrome's javaphobia, so I have to open a Mozilla window in order to post.

Rant over, I'm going to look at some shite threads to cheer myself up!

Bolsover Council.  I'm no longer under their jurisdiction, happily, but they really do come across as a shower of under trained unenthusiastic unprofessional unctuous bumbaclots.  Not even Staveley Council manage to cock up accounts, payments, forms and personal details and at least Sheffield had the good grace to be arrogantly condescending so you knew they weren't going to try and help you from the off.

Sheffield Council are EPIC. They've just ticketed me for not feeding the meter while I had been (parked in accordance with the T&Cs and) displaying a permit ISSUED BY THEMSELVES. I am going to fill in the 'challenge' form with no information on the permit, I will just say 'I look forward to embarrassing you at the court'.

EBay and their shitty listing tools.

Never in all my years using eBay have they had a listing tool which has consistently worked.

I'm not trying to do anything fancy, I just had a couple of Scalextric cars to list so after listing a couple used the 'sell a similar item option' which I have used in the past and has sped up proceedings nicely. All seemed to be going swimmingly until I realised that all the item specifics I changed, in fact did not change at all, and no amount of trying to revise my item is changing that fact. I change the specifics, save, and it goes straight back to saying that this Ford RS200 is a Datsun.

BAH, maybe I'll just take a group shot and offer the remaining 50 or so on forums, seems easier, without fees and marginally less imbecilic fucktards when you do make a sale.

Went to change parking permit on the micra this morning... when i got there i realised i had not changed permit for 2 days :o

I think I've worked out how to make the AS Facebook page approximately 75 times less shit, and it's all because of a question -

When's that gobshite MOT tester with the RR Sport getting banned?

and the pricks who 'like' everything he says

What I don't get is why he still likes to hang around here an try to disrupt things when he stormed off and made his own forum because this place wasn't to his liking.

I think most people have either learnt to ignore him or blocked him now anyway.
