I just missed the bus  It wouldnt be so bad if there was another one before nine, but no stagecoach have given us a terrible timetable which goes708732908

Just missed it? You're an hour late! Too much pop last night? ;)If it helps I'm having a shite morning. I just flailed at a fly buzzing around the room, missed the fly but got the lightbulb which smashed against the ceiling and rained broken glass into my hair and all over the floor. Bearing in mind I was just getting dressed so I'm barefoot at this stage. I hate flies.

Those stupid motorbikes with exhausts so loud they make the windows rattle. It would be totally unacceptable in a car so why can these Hells Angels wannabes get away with it? Like that twat who flew along my road at 7am this morning, kindly getting me up far too early. One was driving along the high street the other day with an exhaust (if you can call a 20cm bit of tubing that) so loud it was reverberating against the buildings and causing people to cover their ears. It wasn't even going fast, so God knows how they get away with it

Coz there are never any coppers about to see it and speed cameras don't have ears. There was a car driving around here for months with the exhaust maniflold blowing badly. I worry if there is the slightest rasp of escaping air from my exhaust but these people didn't care.

Erm, I once drove a Citroen GS estate from deepest darkest Essex to Egham in Surrey with a knackered exhaust system that was deafening on the inside, so god knows what it sounded like on the outside... Mark.

Posted

GS's sounds good with a leaking exhaust, I still remember my parents' Break when the putty fell out... LOUD & racy.I hate loud bikes too, and 2-stroke mopeds - smelly and usually way too loud.

Could someone please explain WTF Ebays " Best match " search is all about , best for who , seems to be some random pooter generated order which the search defaults to everytime i look for something different , Why wont it go away.

Harley Davidsons. Just what is the point and who exactly thinks that amplified farts sound good? I drove my 2CV from Luton once with an exploded crossbox. It was very loud and very shit. It sounded just like a Harley.

I don't get it! What's the secret?Or is it just like the fact that I hear a V8 and go hmmmmm while my wife just goes. Meh?

The house is bloody small with awkward stairs and narrow doors so you can't get real furniture upstairs

Whether you would class my wardroab as 'real' I dont know, but I got a really nice wardroab from my Gran a year or so ago. Definitely not flat pack but was mainly held together with screws. Wouldnt fit upstairs together so decided to have a got at taking it apart.I wasnt meant to be taken apart, and was a bit of a pain reassembling on my own, but it worked. Was very pleased.Maybe an option for you in the future, or anyone who doesnt want crappy Ikea stuff in their room.

After spending 7 years living in Los Angeles I too hate Harley Davidsons. Had a go on one once to see what all the fuss was about. Still don't know. They don't go very fast, the brakes are shite, they certainly don't handle at all and how anyone can go fast that 60 for any length of time and retain their sense of feeling and dental work is beyond me. Had to laugh once at a run what ya brung event at the local drag strip when so cool dude wheeled this tuned to the eyeballs with NOS out of a trailer and everybody was wanking over (it was well engineered btw). Come the races and some spotty youth on a R1 straight off the showroom floor absolutely blew it's doors off most of it on the back wheel! The excuses were comical

Click on the arrow at the end of the box titled "sort by", and a list pops up giving "time left ending soonest" / "time left newly listed" etc..... Click on the one you prefer......I usually choose "time left newly listed" then I can see what`s been listed since I last looked without having to search through dozens of pages.

My shoe sole is splitting again. It split about a third of the way along many months ago, but I covered it up with a glue-on replacement sole and kept pressing it into use. Today it has split through that "repair" and it is about three quarters of the way along now.Thinking of just getting another one of those shoe sole repair kits and lashing another one over the top.Suppose it's the shoe equivalent of repeatedly welding replacement rear arches over the last ones. Wonder if I could bridge the gap with Isopon.

My shoe sole is splitting again.

My shoes are very old and have sizable holes in the soles, but they're so comfortable I don't want to get rid yet. I even spent an astonishing £65 on a new pair which I've only worn once because I always go for the comfy ones. They don't even look bad, they've just got holes.I actually did try gaffer tape on mine but it gets all sticky on the floor.

I promised myself I would cut down on grumpy posts, but I just had to.Re: Tellya) Boris Johnson was on Eastenders tonight - WTF was that about? I usually enjoy this show but I couldn't bring myself to watch it on iplayer just now, as soon as he told his first shit smug shit joke I had to turn it off.

BOJO on Eastenders was a stunt to counter 'the big story' on Emmerdale tonight, you can bet your ass which one will get moar column inches in the tabloids tomorrow.

People who put diesel engines in cars because they can't afford / are too tight to run them with the proper engine.Fucking winds me up, that. XJ-S Jags with Perkins 4203 lumps, that kind of thing. "Oh look, here is a luxury car, that sounds like a 1974 FX4, pukes black smoke everywhere and has a top speed of 60 mph on a good day. It does 27 mpg though."I spent years getting irate at people for taking V8s out of Range Rover Classics and fitting diesels to them. Never understood the appeal of replacing a lovely smooth burbley V8 with a rattly diesel disaster.LPG is the answer if you can't afford petrol.

I quite liked Simon Amstell on NMTB, I still think it's a mega shame Mark Lamarr left though, he made me chuckle

I don't mind Cordon so much but I can't watch 'Never Mind...' because Phil Jupitus is actually less funny than a multiple motoway pile up.Back to the NHS for my rant sorry:Big thanks to the pondlife patient who spat at and abused my missus at work the other night.I hope you are glad I don't work at the hospital as you would be superglued to a wheelchair, weighed down with concrete and shoved into the Shropshire Union canal.

Some years ago on Paramount, I watched a Mark Lamarr standup show filmed in Bracknell of all places, it was exceptionally funny.Agreed Amstell was very funny and close to the knuckle. Frankie Boyle on Mock The Week gets me "shock-ROFL'ing" in a similar manner.
