There's a CE-5330 which says it's a 2" screen, maybe the same?

Acer CP-8531 or one of these for 99p ? :)

As long as it were similar and worked I suppose it doesn't matter, I'm used to Acer so would like to stick with them. The CP-8531 is a bit expensive for me at the moment (at least on amazon over £200) but the CE-5330 looks virtually the same as my existing one, there is one on eBay for £40 at the mo annoyingly would be perfect. I'll have to ask around to borrow some money for the time being. I saw you said one of these for 99p but no link? Thanks anyway at least found something that might be useful :)

To be fair, I have an Acer computer and it's a bucket of bollocks. I bet you can find a decent digital camera from an 'actual' make new for about £50 these days, so why muck about trying to replace your broken one with one exactly the same? Or am I missing something here (like it actually being the best camera in the world)?

It's simple, worked for over 5 years without failing (aside from the battery cover being loose so batteries lose their charges like no tomorrow, but that wasn't it's fault - someone dropped it) it's simple to use and gets decent results. Tried my brothers camera and I just can't make heads or tail of it so if I get a new camera I just want one that is simple to use and I've always found that one easy to use though I'm open to suggestions if there is any (that and money wasn't exactly great at the moment so trying to keep costs down as much as possible).

I can't really speak except from my own personal experience, but I have a Nikon S3000 that has given faultless service for a year so far. Seems to retail at about £70 now it's been replaced with the S3100. Very simple to use, image quality is fine and matches any other small cheapish digital camera I've seen. It's described as 'mediocre' on one online review but I think 'basic and boring' sums it up better.

Took it apart and it is just the screen that needs replacing which leads me to another question, where could you get a replacement screen? A 2" Acer screen seems just as difficult to find as the camera itself, there is a website that sells Acer spares but it doesn't seem to do camera bits, what a mess around

Parcelfarce. How on earth are they still in business? They don't seem able to do anything right. It's a long time since I've bought anything that they've had to deliver, but I ordered a BX rad on Ebay. It was in Wiltshire, taken to the Bristol depot - which seems sensible enough. Now it's in Oxford! Entirely the wrong direction. The tracker application merely shows that it's at the 'incorrect depot.' Well, thanks for that! Now it's not going to arrive before I go away, which means it'll probably turn up while I AM away, which'll mean having to travel to the depot to collect it.

The national meet is at Oxford so if your going to that just nip in and collect it.....

Of course it could have been moved on since

Still trying to liberate the Accord door trim...I've bought a screwdriver set, and I've only got one screw left to undo...it's loose, the screwdriver doesn't meet any resistance, it moves about BUT THE BLOODY BASTARD WON'T COME OUT (it's in a 'sleeve' so can't use hands). Spent half an hour on it before I gave up...

That is the plan for tomorrow...I did make a half-hearted attempt tonight, but it does look rather unwilling to move. Helpfully, the manual recommends using a special 'trim removal tool' by snap-on for prising the side open.

My grump - tomorrow I'm doing a prep. ride into the Dales (Dewsbury - Horton-in-Ribblesdale) and back Sunday for a Coast to Coast ride next year. Two issues:

1. It's been lovely today, perfect riding weather. Tomorrow? It'll be pouring according to the Met Office.

2. My hamstring's playing up.

Get a tack puller (floorboard laying type) and pull on it while you turn to create some bite.

Then...

I usually pull on the bottom of the door car (starting with the non-hinge side) gently until you find where the clips are, then pull slowly but firmly at the area where the clip is until it pops off. It will hurt your fingers. No-one has suggested to me a better way of doing it though. Door cards are usually hooked into the top of the window frame, so the bottom is the place to start.

Yes, I am probably an amateur.

Yeh, door trims are also held on by plastic push in clips (that usually break when you pull the trim off). You will probably need to push a screwdriver behind the trim and prize it off working around the all the way around edge of the door trim. Then it will lift up and off at the top.

Insurance companies-

J27 ETC VOLVO 240GL 4 DOOR SALOON.

Errm, its an estate actually.

The Audi is insured with Lancaster- I suspect lots of fannying about and extortion when I try to swap the policy onto the Volvo from the Audi. Its the insurance code.

Employment Agencies-

Apply for job through agency on website. Do not say this when phoning up, I am told the person is 'OUT OF OFFICE'. When I tell the man that it's for a job enquiry, he says 'SHE'S IN COLWYN BAY OFFICE! I RETRIEVE HER!' Two seconds later, woman somehow appears ON PHONE (FROM COLWYN BAY OFFICE OF COURSE). Says I need financial credit check for job. Starts enquiring about my financial status, overdrawn in bank, CCJ's etc etc etc. MIND OWN BUSINESS YOU NOSY MYSTERIOUSLY REAPPEARING FROM 50 MILES AWAY BITCH!

Anyway - I have to come in IN NOVEMBER - TWO MONTHS AWAY - for an interview.

Is job made up to get more people on agency's books to please management? I THINK SO. Tell woman I NO INTERESTED IN MADE UP JOB!

FUCK YOU RANDSTAD (and all other agencies), I cannot have my time WASTED - and you're totally corrupt and full of SHIT!

If they're such a big company, it may be interesting to send a nice e-mail to a director or something. Of course, you aren't guaranteed a result...but it costs nothing anyway, so nothing to lose.

Am watching the draw for the UEFA cup on Eurosport (Gooaarrnn Stoke!).

Shit the bed could it be any more complicated? I've got to be at work at 19:00 and I'm not wholly confident they'll be half way through by then.

Danny Alexander? He's a Liberal Democrat not a Tory. A lot of red-heads tend to be Lib Dems...for some unfathomable reason. :?

I think Ed Miliband looks more like Wallace from Wallace & Gromit.

How come the Post Office can allow me to tax the wrong car (one that was already taxed) yet not allow me to tax one that actually needs taxing because 'it must be already taxed'?

Bored senseless at work. We were told to come back early due to students enrolling once they had their GCSE results. In the last 2 days I have had 0 students. I have played games, done crosswords, listened to the radio. Even contemplated bringing in my gamecube and rigging it up to the moohsive Interactive white boards but thought better of it.

well thanks senior management, glad you got me back in early rather than letting me go away for the weekend ..

Ah, I see the misunderstanding here.

"Tangerine-Tory" refers not to young Mr. Alexander's hair colour, but (as you correctly point out) to his membership of 'the party formerly known as the Liberal Democrats', which became a subsidiary of the Conservatives shortly after last year's general election...
