Jesus, how many years have we been saying "All Vauxhalls are shit", "Renaults are for masochists", "It's done a Peugeot" and all that. Don't take it personally bub, nobody's stood up and called you out on being an MPV owner or anything. They're just expressing personal opinions of vehicles (using stereotypical owner descriptions as humour) like AS has done since I can remember.

 

I've got a 15 plate BMW as my only car, I'm not going anywhere. Doesn't matter what you drive.

That mpv rant is quite nasty. All Vauxhalls etc etc is a bit of fun aimed at the cars not the drivers.

 

I have questioned it a couple of times and it just comes back angrier each time.

Actually I think my main grump, is that while I like commuting by bicycle, I don't like being forced to. And with the m3 as it is every day, local roads closed for them to dig deep holes in ( but open for bikes ) etc I feel forced into it. I like cars-I particularly like air con in the summer, and not sweat dripping off my nose as I wait at traffic lights!

 

Every day this week something round here has mucked up the roads and caused gridlock until about 8pm. A bike is the only way to be mobile. Last month when the m3 was shut overnight ( almost daily occurrence now) and there were roadworks on the a30 there was an hour long traffic jam at midnight in Bagshot!

Buy a scooter or motorcycle, beats cycling

I have two mpv's . Mazda 5 and Toyota hiace regius. I also have a Rover 75 that's a bit of an ornament at the minute. When I can get rid of the Mazda I shall stick with my hiace and 75. Then I can swap the 75 for something else. I also quite like Picassos has a family car they are great.

Having slagged off XJ220s in no uncertain terms, I am forced to offer an apology. Pictures/details of one were posted ona another forum and I have to admit is is fucking gorgeous. All I can offer by way of explanation is: senility means a failing memory and I had forgotten how cool they look.
