Can only say what everyone else had GGS and my condolences. Farther in law was about 56 when he got cancer. It does get better with time and I'm are all on here will help with anything you need whenever

Took the Beard dog out for a run on the beach this morning. Lovely sunrise and empty beach. Joy!

Then a labrador came running over to play with my dog, no owner in sight. Dogs played together amicably for ten minutes or so until an oldish guy came puffing over the sand dunes after his dog. Proper red in the face he was and out of breath... As he was wearing a NYPD baseball cap and matching tee shirt, and in an effort to strike up a conversation as one does, I asked if he was a retired police officer.

The answer was..

"Fuck off and tell your dog to fuck off as well"

Hmmmm. The NYPD need to take a close look at themselves if that is how they behave in Blackpool!

It was an auction for some dropsides off my army lorry I'd listed, he got them for £25, they're 8ft long each and there's 5 of them, so buyer collects.

I spent the day down at my mates, who runs a very busy but small independent garage.

 

Today he ordered a clutch kit for a Polo, wiper blades and a ball joint for a Clio, a rear brake caliper for a Golf and a drop link and spring for a Jaguar Mondeo.

 

Their delivery van was round 5 times attempting to deliver all this (it's a good job they are only round the corner). The clutch kit arrived 5 hours late, the ball joint was wrong and the wipers too short. The caliper was for the wrong side and they tried to charge him twice for the spring and drop link.

Oh and about a week ago there was a load of water gushing out of the road outside my house. Phones both sewers and fresh water people and both denied having owt to do with it. Fresh water people said "it smells of sewage so it's not us" and the sewers place said "we put a dye in the sewers and it hasn't come out, so it's not our problem"

 

In the meantime, water stopped coming out of this particular hole and started up about 20 yards down the hill. Same story from water people.

 

The council came and made a half arsed attempt at patching the hole on Tuesday morning, but within 4 hours the patch had failed and there was a 6 inch deep pothole again

 

I came home today to find a 4 foot deep sinkhole blocking the road where the half arsed patch once was, full of water with a huge amount of the soil and stuff under the road washed away completely.
