Not weighed it has he??

ABS problem cheaply cured by a nifty bit of wiring behind the cluster taking power from low fluid warning light. Depending on whether it has ASC or DSC, decent used ECU is 50 quid. I've just sold one. Also got a pair of Touring rear shocks in good nick that I can't give away.

Is that the ones with the air bags in them? I had to buy some of them for a mate here last year, cost him about 60 quid and he was extremely pleased at that.

Had a pretty good shite offloading day today, only fly in the ointment was some penniless no-show turd from Gumtree for a bike, but hey ho.

Anyhow due to unprecedented sales success, I've sold my garage door blocker and have no replacment. Can I find a cheap Corsa B when normally I'm never far away from one? Can I bollocks as like.

Find a complete 1275 engine with all ancillaries. Bloody thing weighs god knows what. Removed part I need then found I can't get it on my engine with removing all engine mounts and lowering it down. Can I fuck as like get to the front mount and to top it all off mini specialists sent the wrong twatting gasket.

'Hi, I've just won the Maestro door. Would it be ok to pick it up on Sunday? Thanks, Richard.'

Hi Richard, thanks for buying the door,

Do you need any other maestro parts ? as I've lots of stuff for them.

Cheers Andrew.

Yeah, thanks for that. Sent another message to him, now just waiting to see if I can combine this door collection with the Solent Shiters meet tomorrow, as it'll be a PITA to have to make a special trip down to Southampton for it next weekend.

The dashcams fisheye lense means it doesnt look as close as it really was. I was pulling the trailer with a dead escort on it at the time too, the sound doesnt pick up the noise of the trailer locking up.

If I had been on my own in the car I would have just ploughed into the cunt.

sup with your doors, I thought they were all good after the recent work?

I happened to be in Wakering this afternoon, I followed a white tatty F reg Corolla down the High Street, it turned off and headed up the Barling Road.

The N/S/R one is rotten in a few places. I've already welded part of it but it's really thin rubbish steel (obviously) so I've bought a better replacement. Hopefully I'll be able to get it painted and fitted up when the weather gets a bit warmer, then swap them in a day. The other three are in good condition, strangely.

Should have swung by with your camera if you wanted to pap the Maestro, it's parked outside at the moment. In fact, I'm home most weekends currently.

A rite of passage - today I got a drip of old engine oil right in the eye, actual full-on oil/eyeball interface. It sort of hurts and feels weird at the same time. This is ~9 hours later.

3/10 would not repeat experience.

Act surprised, then enraged, blame the technology, contact the retailer, the manufacturer, complain down the phone, emails, the whole bit, and you might just retain your testicles.

Good thing I'm not a doctor, my first thought was that you needed to get that out with some detergent.

Surprised indignation was my first port of call (been in similar situations before so always have it at the ready), not sure she bought it to be honest. Even started asking me some surprisingly technical questions regarding how this particular loss of important data came to pass. Had to disappear to the toilet on "urgent business" to get out of that spot.

Tried a few data recovery programs but the drive is formatted in a funny way so most won't read it. Using something by Easeus currently which is scanning the drive at least. Will cost £, but the unspoken cost if I can't get all this shit back may be far higher.

Why she can't just be happy with Wheeler Dealers and Salvage Hunters of an evening I'll never know....

I've used "active file recovery"  (windows app) to recover data from formatted drives before.

I don't know what happened, I was running this file recovery programme and then some hammers FELL on it and it CAUGHT FIRE.

There's a five door Corsa down the road from me for sale, think it's about £199, I'll get a photo if you want?

Thanks for the suggestions, particularly the hammer and fire idea which I think I'll go with.

I've used a program called EaseUS Data Recovery which seems to have got everything back, albeit somewhat jumbled. Cost me £40 (found an offer code or would have been north of £60) but it'll doubtless be useful when I do this again in the future. This enterprised hasn't been helped by the fact that the hdd recorder uses the drive in a way that Windows won't read, hence most recovery programs I tried won't read it either.

Annoyingly, I got killed for a second time when she saw I'd taken the thing apart to get the hard drive out. Perhaps I was meant to recover the stuff with the power of thought alone.

Accidents do happen.  If there's too much objection to that statement then a quiet "I hadn't finished.  Accidents do happen more frequently in the home.  Victims often know their killer" should reinforce the point.  You may need to win the argument with hammers and fire.

How am I doing on my first day as a marriage counsellor?  I think it's going really well.

Hmm... I endured stinkinghot oil/sleeve interface doing a change on my Savvy (last time+1)... wiser now = Old shirt or pullover laid across driveshaft/lower susp arm.. twiddle filter gingerly and let it drop off and spluff 'arm'lessly.

canna be effed to unbolt the under trays....see :-(
