Britain First. I'm actually sickened that a bunch of racist right-wingers can hijack something like D-Day. The Second World War was about defeating fascism, and extreme right-wing views. Britain First are the type of people our ancestors fought AGAINST.

Also, they share absolute bullshit on Facebook that unwilling people them share. Complete fabrications based on a sensationalist style seen in the Daily Mail (not sure how they get away with it) designed to make people angry without actually checking any facts.

On top of that, Fracking. That really does expose the corrupt manner in which government works. Hey, if it makes money, who cares about the damage it does to people and the land we live on?

I want to crawl into a cave and hide from the world. I don't like it anymore!

I thought you'd basically done that already and moved to darkest Wales?

Lived in this grotty flat for ten months now, made friends with neighbours pretty quickly and know several quite well now. My mate Phill two doors up has had a torrid time in the last two years: had prostate cancer and had to have a radical prostatectomy (the lot out!) and promptly had a MASSIVE stroke on th eoperating table! When I first met him, you could really tell as he walked badly and spoke worse, he's worked REALLY hard to get back his fitness - runs (slowly) three miles a day, is clear to drive again and speaks pretty much fine.

Impressive.

Saw him today and he told me he now has secondary cancers. No operation possible, radiotherapy only. He reckons he's got until 2017 as they are quite slow growing. What an absolute bugger. Really feelfor the bloke, he's a great chap and thoroughly decent all the way.

Puts my shite in perspective.

Hate hearing about shit like this. Always seems to happen to the good guys. :(

Just saying to the wife that my knee is giving me a bit of gyp, read that and shut right up.

I know, I'll pressure wash the rear arches to get that mud out. I wouldn't want them to go rusty...

Oh for fuck sake.

Which car is that? Looks an awkward area to repair as well.

Posted

I've had 31 years of it.

That's where you've gone wrong.

Got rid of mine a few years back just for the peace and quiet! :-D   Unfortunately I seem to have to pay more money per month than I used to buy cars with :?

Hmm,on mulling it over I still think I'm better off now!!! :-D

Bollox!

Got up,did the washing and hung it out (I NEVER hang clothes out, tumble dryer for the win!) put the roof down on the Mazda and went out with the dogs. Glorious day...

Got as far away from the car as it was possible to get and the fekkin' heavens opened! Chester (the fat useless bastard Basset) refused point blank to do anything he was told and fucked off in the oposite direction, every time I got near him, he ran further away!

Got back to the car (eventually) completely soaked and in a foul mood having dragged his arsewholeness the whole way and.... I'd left the roof down!

And your washing is still out!  Yeah, I know about that, hung mine out before too.  Good job I have more than one set of bedding!

Yes it was and still is! Like the soft pillock I am, I still bought him his daily allowance of sausage rolls (Phoebe is not that bothered), I sort of hoped he'd choke on them the little fat shit!

Just had a slightly awkward conversation with the inlaws. The citroen XM I'm using for spares is tucked away on their drive and has been for a few months. Theyre having a new kitchen soon and have used this as an excuse to ask me to get rid of the XM. I've nowhere else to store it so its going to get weighed. Its been a godsend for hard to find parts but seemingly its only me that appreciates that.

"sorry everyone, holiday is canceled because the starter has gone on the old XM, I did have a spare but..."

My lads done his first (assisted) sky dive today. Get there for 8.00am they said. He'll be one of the first up they said. He can jump with his mate they said.

2.50pm he eventually went up, his mate having gone maybe two hours before.

I shouldn't moan as he's done bloody well, but keeping nervous people waiting for hours isn't so clever.

They could keep me waiting for far, far longer than that. Decades perhaps.

It's a shame, because I love heights and views and all that stuff. I get all smiley just standing on a hill and working out what things are. And I'm quite scientific so I know how safe a parachute is, and the tiny probability of problems and whatever. So I know full well it's more dangerous to walk down stairs or whatever.

Never seems to matter when it comes to thinking about throwing myself at the planet. Can't imagine myself doing it :(

Had a rare weekend away down in New Forest for a stag do. Beautiful weather and great time, until gf decided that i had to rush home because dog was ill and might need to go to the vet. Drive home to find that she had just been panicking and dog was fine. Its almost as if she got jealous i was away having fun.

Ahh, the old 'spoiler' trick. I used to get 'well, you know we're skint, haven't got a penny left' about ten minutes before I was due out on the piss, and various other routines of strange noises late at night that mysteriously weren't there when I got home. My mates ex-missus was the worst, she'd give him hell all night on the phone trying to ruin his night out.

Just remember to return the favour when she goes out!

Nah i enjoy my quiet time when she is out :) although i get the face when i honestly answer the question "have you missed me" honestly...

Mine does this. She's due to go away on wednesday overnight, and I;ve booked wednesday off to have a day in the loft uninterrupted. Had the 'oh we are poor so i may not go' routine last week, so sold a few dysons and got her £100 together. Even then she uumed and aahed about it! She's fucking going, I want my quiet day!

She's using the argument that I wont be able to go to a gig with my dad next month as we are poor, despite me saying that usually the old man bungs a tank in for me, and paid for the tickets etc so it would be free but I think thats too complicated for her...

Loved rik mayalls bonkersness and anarchic over the top acting

Young ones/new statesmen/lord flashheart/bottom were my favourites but it was nice to see him as the crazy dad in that Greg Davies thing on channel 4 recently also
