Eurosport. Right now they're supposed to be showing World Touring Cars; my listing magazine says so, as does the info bar that comes up on-screen. They're actually showing Power Snooker. Bollocks.

Fog. Not only does it mean that bell-ends will be driving around with their rear foglamps on for the next week because they can't see the fucking great warning light glaring out at them, it also makes everything incredibly damp. This foiled my plans to have a shift-around of shite this afternoon (with the ultimate aim of sticking the Ligier in a corner of the garage), as the Innocenti really does not like starting when it's cold and damp, especially when it hasn't been moved for a few weeks.

This isn't normally an issue as I don't use it in the winter anyway, but it was a pain today. And I'd forgotten to bring any tools so I couldn't get the air filter off to refit the auto-choke mechanism (which I took off a while back because the fast idle bit had seized and was making the car idle at 2,000rpm), which would have got it starting on the button. So the Ligier and the Renner Six both started first time, and so did the DS once I'd got the jump leads on it, but the Innocenti stopped play. The result is that the Ligier is still shoehorned in behind the Innocenti, and still sticking out of the driveway further than I would like.

The only alternative is to tax the thing and keep it on the road outside my house, but I can't see myself using it enough (or indeed keeping it long enough) for that to be worthwhile. Hopefully next weekend will be drier - it's either that or a can of Easi-Start.

Easistart FTW, or for simplicity a wad of cotton wool soaked in petrol in the air intake should do the job.

Right.

Is it normal for one's University colleagues to repeatedly comment about how well they've done in assessments \ how good they think they are in course terms? Is it?

If I'm honest, it's getting a bit old. I just don't big myself up at every opportunity and find it baffling when people do it almost arbitrarily. Or am I just the wrong generation and completely out of step with the competitive modern arsehole media player environment?

IN OTHER NEWS.......

Dear God my aunt's boyfriend is a prick.

Sadly Jon, it probably is normal. That's life these days. As for the other issue, you may be forced to hire a hitman...

I think its fair to say, on a media course you are going to meet A LOT of wankers. Complaining about them is like a sailor complaining about the sea.

ANd as for your Aunt's boyfriend may I recommend Hirstcabs Limited (Sercurity division) for body disposal. £150 no questions asked. Apparently. Bring your own shovel.

Anyhoo........I've just had a message from Ebay. They've restricted my account, because it appears to be linked with another one. As any fule no, I'm boboutlaw118 on there, this new account is called brazzel9. It's coming up as closed, but I don't know how to get any more info than that. Here's what I've had.

Based on your account information and activity, it looks like user ID brazzel9 is associated with your account. This usually indicates that both accounts belong to the same person.

Because the other account is restricted or otherwise not meeting minimum seller standards, we've changed the amount you can list on eBay.

You can now sell up to 59 items or up to £650.00 per month, whichever comes first. After 90 days, we'll reassess your account and may increase your limits based on your selling performance. Similar to how credit card limits work, these allowances will increase over time as sellers show that they can handle the increased sales volume. You can also increase your limits sooner by resolving any open issues with the associated account. We've already sent instructions for resolving these issues to the email address registered to that account

I've replied asking them to reset my limits, and to provide me with more details on the other account, but I daresay they'll use the old "data protection" bollax on me.

Anyone know how to did around on ebay and get info?

Unfortunately, yes.

Problem is, Jon, these people do, and then they get the "good" jobs, whilst the good people like yourself who don't, end up having to put up with incompetents (AKA Those who big themselves up.

Aye, how old is she too Jon and does she like shit cars?

Pissing me off this week is the way the NHS treat some of their staff and just seem to expect them to put up with endless shit and carry on regardless.

ahh the old ebay police, ya gotta love em... wankers... i got debt letter through because of their incompetence and called the company up and told them how my ebay debt came about, they said ok don't worry about it and left it at that, my fuggin ebay account is still closed though... and trying to speak to someone in authority at ebay is like trying to find a bald yeti

I've 690 positive feedback but because a few miserable bastards have left low despatch time scores (you know the ones, they expect next day delivery no matter when the auction ends etc) my rating is 4.5 out of 5 stars, not 2 or 3 or even 4 but 4.5 and that's below their expectations so I'm on a warning with them...

I'm pretty sure that I'm PAYING them about 15% to sell shite there, it amazes me the shit they expect you to put up with.

They've frozen some of my daughter's funds because she's new to eBay and the buyers haven't left feedback yet. She's asked them (sellers) to do so, one said he had 'because I replied to your e-mail' and the other one has shut his account down

i wouldn't be surprised if ebay was run by that tosser sepp blatter.... both seem to think they are untouchable TWUNTS

I've had a beard in various forms for about four years. I liked it, no bugger else did, but I didn't care.

I'm not getting more stick than I care to think about, because, whilst trimming it, I felt the need to sneeze.

Forgot to turn the clippers off while I sneezed though. Had to shave the rest of the beard off cos it looks pissing rediculous with a diagonal stripe through it.

Bumhats.

Been there.

I feel your pain brother.

I grew my goatee after an unfortunate incident whilst having one of my bands gigs recorded, and i didn't realise what a fat face I had. Been 12 years now, barring grooming mishaps.

Fitted the new bonnet catch to the alfa at lunch time and while the bonnet now catches I've discovered some of the problem is related to the end of the cable being borked. I also hoped it was going to fix the door locking issue having determined via the interwebz the microswitch on the bonnet was a possible candidate. It still doesn't lock. Next stop removal of door card :(

Imagine this scenario. Corner shop/Minimart owner buys all his stock (including several hundred pounds of booze a week) via a home delivery from one of the major supermarkets.
