Are you gonna phone later? I have been thinking about it myself. I'm not taking on another big project but that needs to come out of the scrap yard!!!

Probably not to be honest. I've truly got enough on my plate. I really, really want to see it saved, but I'm not the man to do it.

Fucking smackrat bastards have turned over work at the weekend. Crowbarred the robin door and bonnet, then nicked the battery.

Put the back window through on my mates mint hiace and nicked his batteries (twin)too.

Did some customer cars as well, just cut through the battery cables...cunts

How hard is it to pay a fucking loan off ?

If its the tsb very hard. Branch told us to phone loans but there is more chance of contacting the dead. I am sure they no longer want business.

I live relatively close to this yard (Google says 15-20 miles). I can't contribute much in the way of time at present, but I do have a bit of space on the driveway. If it can be delivered to my place then I can store it for however long is necessary.

Even if it just gets it out of the yard for sometime .....

Cancel your direct debit. They will soon be on the phone.

Good lord, this is amazing news! I can of course help with collection etc.

They're not making it easy. "Come and see me and we can talk about price." That ain't going to work for me. Anyone else going to have a go?

Grump. FTP over the weekend which was essentially my own fault.

Running a vehicle with a known-shite fuel delivery system very low on fuel is not a clever thing to do. Having to then swerve to avoid a nobber who's pulled out on you then means what little fuel remains gets sloshed to one side of the tank, and the bubble of air that the system drags in is enough to then stall the engine, which won't then re-start as the fuel level is sufficiently low that I'm pulling in an aerated mix rather than good fuel.

Cue rescue by Mrs. T, aided and assisted by the two Mini-T's. Filling a car with fuel from a jerry can when the fuel door is on the offside and the car is parked just 8" in from the edge-of-lane white line on a 50mph single carriageway was fun*

Note to self: Don't run it that low again, dickhead!

Well, I just rang him about the 929. He was pretty cagey about giving me a price and he says the CoD has already been issued, but seemingly he would sell it whole for parts. Apparently someone else had just rang about it before me! I think he’s probably trying to get a bit of a bidding war going, but he did promise to ring me back about it when he knew what he was doing with it or whatever. So we’ll see. I am up for paying a reasonable ‘2018’ price for it as opposed to a 2003 price, but I am not up for the stress of being played off against other mystery bidders, so if he comes back and says ‘OK Richard the price is X if you are interested’ maybe something will happen.

SL: Offer noted and highly appreciated!!! If a deal is done I will defo be calling in that favour! Thanks!

If anyone local fancies popping in and bartering with him face to face I am up for 'employing' an agent!

It was. Sorry Mr Boll! I'm officially out, but felt bad not calling back after the initial enquiry.

Mr Boll That old Mazda is epic. I wish I could help with that, alas funds and space doesn't permit. Wish you could reverse the CoD easily, unless you bung the guy a fiver* to say he put that in the 'restore' pile and issued it in error.

Shiterider, I hope you catch the arseholes who did that and make them suffer a long and slow torture of some kind.

There’s a breaker near my work who deals specifically with Granvia and imports etc. He may have a rear Hiace screen; if you struggle then I can help.

Had a week off. Fine. Too fucking tired to do anything meaningful on the Triumph apart from paint one bit of the headlight bracket. Just need to re-connect the wires and bolt it in properly. Drivers side is done then.

Then to do the other side.

This heat really isn't helping me at all. I just want to sleep.

I'll join your club.

I'm absolutely fucked today. I'm that tired I've just fallen asleep on the floor in the hallway.

I thought it would be a bit cooler in there for a bit. I knew putting a folded up towel under my head would be a mistake.

Cold tiles are surprisingly soothing when it's 30 pissing degrees outside.

Our dvd player is kaput.

I feel like ringing round various outlets in my best fonejacker voice and enquiring how much a "doovde" is.
