NEVER agree to a meds change unless YOU want to change yourself!  I have got very good at telling Doctors 'No!' and staying as I am thank you. They look at you a bit funny but so what? It took years to get levels and meds 'right' (and thanks to one idiot who was allegedly a Dr but was actually a functioning alcoholic who died in his surgery) left me with Parkinsons type symptoms (now cured) and one or two other symptoms that won't go no matter what.

Your body/mind, if you feel right, stick with what you know.

drug related toxicity ?

You're entitled to your opinion, like the rest of us, but your avatar is wilfully offensive.  Lose it, please.

Ooh, get the madam.

Must admit I do like 'a local shop for local people'.

'We didn't burn him'.

I'm watching Wheeler Dealers (persevere, it's not one of the usual complaints), and it's making me want a 'proper classic'. I'll be joining an owners club and forcing my opinions on originality on people next.

^next you'll be telling people that their projects shouldn't be let on road and need scrapping but that's just your opinion but good luck with it

I loved the League of Gentlemen, miles better than little Britain. I do have a sick sense of humour though.

Could never watch Little Britain or League of Gentlemen. I guess my funny bone is out of alignment as I think they are as funny as syphilis. In fact, the list of 'comedy' I don't like is far longer than the one I do. Proof that I am indeed, a miserable old fucker!

YES!

In much the same way as "all cars made after 1986 are shit", most comedies after the era of Fawlty Towers are shit.

Maybe I am just a miserable cunt (no maybe about it really, I AM a miserable cunt) but comedies like Little Britain and the Leauge barely get a smirk from me....infact the few bits I have seen have just made me annoyed by the borderline offensive toilet humour.

The best I have seen recently is Peep Show which are all on Youtube...its rarely laugh out loud funny, but it kept me entertained.

Main relays on Hondas, made using solder reclaimed from old bottle tops.

Needed to get my prescription from the chemist, drag my arse to the car, drive to the chemist and wait among the old and the sick, limp back out to the car and it wont start, leaving me to shuffle my way home, which thankfully isnt that far, I'll give it 2 hours then wander back round to it, where it will spring into life with no problems.

New one is £60 from the main dealers, being flexible enough to get under the dash to fit it is another matter at the moment.

People? Me, I'm not a fan.

Here are my top five gems:

1.'Just my opinion' [don't recall asking you for it]

2.'I've not got a problem with you but...' [yes you have]

3.'No offence' [this does not get you off the hook]

4.'I'm taking the moral high ground despite my breathtaking wrongdoing (but you swore at me in response so whatever I did is null and void)' [there are no words]

5.'I'm assuming this (regarding x y z) and won't budge a millimetre from what I cooked up in my head and HOW DARE YOU ARGUE WITH ME!' [how about talking to me beforehand, eh?]

For these reasons, I can't be bothered with the human race at the moment.

"Her name, what is her name?"

"His name is Justin (Justin)!"

Burying Justin under the flower bed with that snorkle to breathe from was the most disturbing part of that prog for me. Love it. :-)

All the characters were epic.

Tie break: did you enjoy Spaced? I was most upset when that dire comedy survey placed it at 48/50.

League of Gentleman, The Mighty Boosh and Little Britain I struggled with.

Green Wing was fucking excellent and it had nothing to do with me fancying the arse off Sally Field - although I'm glad it ran for two series only; it wouldn't have been able to sustain itself for much longer.

It was a public holiday here on Monday, by coincidence I needed a state inspection on the Mercedes.   Only place open was Jiffy Lube who are renowned as the Kwik Fit of America.   How bad can they be for a state inspection I thought?   Took it in, no problems and the car passed inspection, it’s an easy test but the emissions criteria are not so always a game of catalyst roulette.

Filled up yesterday and found they have managed to break the rubber strap that holds the petrol cap.   It's not a big deal but made me grumpy because how hard is it to not do that?   Obviously they didn't tell me, if they had I would have likely said don't worry about it.

TL;DR - Jiffy Lube are shit.

I also enjoyed the league of gentleman, one part that sticks in my head was the house rules

I am a bit peed off with continental UK, i ordered a set of uniroyal rainexperts for the saph through my mates tyre shop, he called them while I was there to confirm stock while ordering, apparently they had stock in my size, today comes when they were supposed to be delivered and no tyres, he called them to find out where they were and that's when he found out, he has done me a good deal on some yokohama though theyre coming in tomorrow so it's not all bad

Yeah, Spaced was pretty good. It was a short run iirc, but then I think most series go on too long these days....They get to a point where its just dragging it out for the sake of it.

Seems like all the best comedies have 2-3 seasons and perhaps the occasional special. Fast Show, Bottom, Alan Partridge, The Young Ones, The Office, Spaced, Mongrels, Father Ted etc. Blackadder had 4 but to be honest I never liked the first one. On the one hand it's good because it keeps the quality higher, but then again you just wish there could have been more.

My current favourite People Just Do Nothing has just started season 3, and really hope they make another one

2 series for Spaced. I have seen it fucking loads.  :-D

Car is home, went back after an hour and it wouldn't start, called the RAC.

Before the RAC guy got there I took the lower dash panel off, unbolted the relay bracket and then failed to get a) the wiring plug off B) the bracket off the relay.

When the RAC guy turned up we tried to start it again with no success, he got the plug off the relay, split the case and looked at it in confusion for 10 min, decided it wasn't going to fix it's self and it needed replacing, so he would dolly the car back to my house.

He put it all back together and we gave it one last try before we towed it and it fired up and ticked over perfectly.

The RAC guy was sound, as have all the RAC guys have been whenever I've had issues.

Whereabouts are you Honey Badger?

Northants, to be honest it wasn't too bad to get at, though I have a feeling the new one will be cable tied to the old one for ease of fitting.

Just used someone's desk to pop something in a folder and saw a monthly invoice for 4 company cars (freelander, 2 pisshats and a golf) - £1,680 ex vat for a month all in! No wonder we only just scrape profit as a department every year, that's 4 out of about 16 too...

(The invoice had Grovsner on the letterhead, I thought it was someone's strip club/casino invoice they were trying to expense...

Me, nosy? Never...

Apologies, I was hoping you were going to say Surrey, Berks, London. We could have bodged this together between us.

Yes, to both.

I've seen Dylan Moran live. You realise he's really not trying to be Bernard Black, he just is.
