Film prop? Can't see it passing C&E legislation with that nose.

I looked to see if it was a George Barris creation, couldn't find anything..

Yes, I'd go with film prop.  Any more photos?  Any details to add?

possibly a racing prototype with the nose being quite aerodynamic, might be hiding a v8

From the silhouette I would guess at a modified Stingray body possibly - not an actual car but made up from a mould of a real car modified?  I'd say either a custom car or film or advert prop? Possibly Gerry Anderson? Nicely made.

Fascinating thing - amazing to get it running if indeed it has running gear.

99% sure it's a film prop. Can't see any doors, windows look opaque. Tried searching unknown on IMCDB but there are 1632 pages of them

I reckon it would be a full time job/fun pastime trying to ID them all

If it's like other 50's or 60's 'specials it's more likely to be hiding an Austin 7 or Ford Pop engine for maximum powah ...

Looks like a full-size version of something Matchbox would have had in their range around 1974 😁

I don't know why this one isn't all over the internet, given the interest these unknown cars seem to generate. I have had those photos saved on my computer for years but have never seen a reference to it outside IMDB. Given the obsessive nature of people in the American historic custom car world it's strange it hasn't been ID'd already

Again you might be on to something there - a Lesney or Hot Wheels promotion vehicle?

I see an extremely drunk drag queen, loudly slurring "Y THO"

It looks like a home-built homage to something out of Speed Racer, like 'Shooting Star' crossed with the GRX. It has the nose of the former and the body style of the latter...

It would help to know the source of the photo and location (as best known) of the subject material.

And a new possibly not so mystery. I think I know what it is, but does anyone else? Just found the photo going through an old album

That's got me stumped.  A few ideas but nothing quite fits.....judging by the truck in the background, that was taken relatively recently.  Any clues?

That's the Frazer Daimler-Jaguar Special. Built on the Shetland Isles circa 1969 by a Mr Frazer, it's a DB18 chassis with a Jaguar 3.8 engine. Doors and rear windows are VW fastback ans rear lights are Austin Maxi. Bodywork in GRP - it survives awaiting restoration

edit to add: mic drop

And as expected Barrett wins.

My pic was taken over 20 years ago, I vaguely remember the feature in (I think) Hot Car when it was built, seem to remember it had wire mesh built into the roof to act as the radio aerial

Not as old as it looks from the side view

Looks like something Bristol might have come up with. I really want a pic of the back now to see how well* those Maxi lights are integrated.

Gah, that's even worse than I imagined and I wish I could unsee it. At that angle it looks like it's collapsed at the bulkhead!
