Why is the gravy boat gauge so prominently positioned, is the engine volatile?

It's in the wrong place fuel or eng temp needs to be there

40k doesn't seem to crazy for a Manta 400, actually that's possible a bit cheap?

Think I will stick to this Marina door handled beauty, it was a lot cheaper!

See @paulplom for his early MK1. It was a proper gauge on the first lot. Then after 95 went to a go/no-go gauge which is a bit lame. Basically a light but as a gauge.

So an R reg UK spec Mark 1 Monza oil pressure gauge is actually a switch?

I think I'd  rather have not known, and been conning myself that the oil pressure was always perfect.

Does it stay bang on middle after starting, or does it move around while driving? Real oil pressure varies depending on revs and oil quality.
