Sorry, but that one you have to explain to me.

It's a reference to the fairy tale or story/Disney animation "Pinocchio" . His nose grows whenever he tells an untruth/lie.

Apologies,I'd thought that was pretty universal.

You don't have to, I should have understood that.

This is where Audi got the idea for their engine/transmission placement.

Was looking up an old friend's place on Streetview tonight as I couldn't remember exactly where it was, and found this parked outside it...

I think it's a Mitsuoka but I'm not certain which model.  I assume it belongs to my mate's dad if he still lives there as he loved obscure cars, last time I saw the guy he was restoring a UMM Alter (which can be seen in that same spot if you time travel on Streetview, as can his old Saab 900 and a couple of Freelanders.  I need to get back in touch with him and get him on here!)

Mitsuoka Galue (circa 1998?).  No doubt a rarity in England.

1972 Pontiac Grand Prix.  The grille on this car is unique to the 1972 model year.

I'd love to see it with the tarp off to find out, I could just see a pointed nose. Looked like the chrome grille was full height rather than body colour at the top. Hard to tell through canvas

My guess is an Oldsmobile Cutlass, circa '72.

I had a Pontiac Grand Prix as a hire car in a trip to the states in 1997. Sadly it had become just another bland GM saloon.

Me again!  Spotted this on Facebook, taken at the Ffestiniog Railway in 1979.

What is the green coupe/fastback just above the locomotive in the pic?  I think it might be an Audi or VW but not certain.

You're right - thanks all, and the taker of the photo has confirmed it (might try and get him on here!) - that's one for the "Cars you didn't know existed..." thread!

Saab Sonnet 3? Rear bumper looks a bit off, but otherwise the same?

Definitely a Sonnett, looks like a home made cover over the big rubber bumper.
