Abandoned shite

To me, that all looks really sad.

Why was the place seemingly abandoned? Did the owner die? Did (s)he go overseas and forget about it because it all got too much?

Land Registry search might reveal who the present owner is supposed to be....

The same YouTube channel also discovered this place somewhere in Devon....

That looks epic. And such a shame it’s been abandoned. I’d love to buy a place like that and spend a few years tidying it up etc house is probably scrap though.

That Safeway box! I’ve got one of them still in use!

That Corolla is fit. Much want though the last time I saw a non modified UK model for sale it was £30k.

Hmm so it’s sat in a barn in a place that now probably public knowledge. Give it a few weeks before someone lump turns up who sounds like his mouth is full of bread in a beaver tail. Barnfind M8!

They've already said the location is being kept private - Cornwall is a big place!

I grew up with pals that lived on ex farms and similar with outbuildings full of shite like that in similar condition. You can spend forever finding stuff and wondering what the place used to be like and how it ended up in that state. There are countless reasons why, not all for the better but most of that rusty old crap is just that. Anything of any worth would have been used somewhere else, converted or sold. Although I no longer spend my free time running around these relics with an air rifle shooting at my pals, I'll never forget that distinct smell of damp metal, rotting wood and fox shit.

Can’t see that Toyota lasting long there, those rwd coupes are worth some coin now.

Indeed. 10 grand for an average one over here now.

I sold one years ago for less than 3. :D

4 black rubbish bags lying on the ground, they don't last that long. Maybe not as abandoned as it looks.

I found this old beast in the middle of nowhere whilst walking in the Moffat hills.

Saw these two in summer 2022. The blue Picanto was in a pay and display car park . I walked past the white Corsa recently and the weeds are beginning to reclaim it further.

This got trashed when they demolished the building, dragged it out with a big machine and dropped it. I don’t think it had ever been on the road.

A bit warmer, but still abandoned.

I'm sure @chaseracer and the team would have that running again in a few weeks :P

The current racer's shell was in similar condition when we started the rebuild.  Acksherley, there's probably more metal in the one in the pic!

Sad end for that one when they pulled the place down.

This sad looking Vauxhall Chevette is rusting away near me, last Mot expired in 2010.  Front wings have tape repairs and the roof has rust spots too.

Pretty shape, these. My first car, too. That one looks a goner. :(

A work colleague took me to Brands Hatch in 1984 to watch the F1 tyre testing; this burnt out Beetle was adjacent to Cooper Straight.

I do love a Chevette myself, my parents first car they paid proper money for was a Black Chevette Estate. OON 105X

I'm tempted to ask about this one, but being realistic I think it would be a project too far for me sadly.

One I found at the roadside in Italy. Poor old Y10, almost certainly nicked and dumped.

It is not Y10, it is simply Y. Great car, I had one in a funky "Giallo Tropici" color. Basically, it is Punto Mk1 with a party hat. Unfortunately, mine succumbed to very terminal rust. I still have the alloys somewhere in a dark corner of my workshop.
