Yeah, I did have a quick poke around it - there seemed to be quite a bit of rotten wood in the wings, and the fact that there was a rusty conrod laying behind the pilot's seat didn't inspire confidence in the condition of the engine.  Still a cool thing though.

That's got to be a rare, late spec, hasn't it? Some mk5s looked worse than that in the 90s to be fair. I assume it has no remaining underside though...

Would be a great one to try and save for someone with decent sparkly skills, if there's anything structural left.

That was originally a late spec 1.6L. They never offered a diesel, so I presume it’s had a Peugeot transplant. Doesn’t look or sound very desirable to me.
