"The car retains its original and dateless registration number: KRU 318. "

KRU 318 = Bournemouth between October 1950 and the end of the year.

As 1951 started with KRU 580

KRU 318 will be mid to late November 1950.

"dateless" Pah!

Interesting little cars but given the amount of work @vulgalour has put into his this may be a very difficult car to revive. Not cheap considering the amount probably needed.

Biggest piece of crap you can fit to a car is a holley carb.

Depends how crap the car surrounding the engine was though?
The car was even more of a piece of crap than the carb - I guess that's a low bar though (Rover SD1 'Vitesse' - full of rot, wet inside, gearbox was FUBAR'd. Owned it for about six weeks about thirty years ago. Did maybe a hundred miles in it. Ran richer than Elon Musk. Only SD1 I've ever owned. Don't think I'd want to repeat the experience.)

An alternative. This one looks really* good* - bit of T Cut and you'll be ready for Rustival or whatever takes your fancy.....

Was a rebuilt engine & new carb (+ a second new one plus a low mileage used one were tried) was a 302 in a 69 Torino) over the years I've only come across one decent holley  on a 79  trans am with a 403. Edelbrock are a far better ( simpler design).

SD1 vitesse were all originally fuel injected, as for wet interiors they all came like that as std.

Dead ringer for the H reg aircraft carrier my mate had in the 90s

On the topic of big carbs - wonder what this has?
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1671740720667916/

5.3 tonner, needs plating - sit atop the purring Chevy 454 and drive along not thinking about the 12 mpg (or less?).

May have the dual single point inj or a big quadrajet as std not into GM junk, ford & Mopar all the way.

I have no clue on any US stuff (unless you include our 2004 US built Suzuki Quad :-) ) but t'missus keeps sending odd stuff like that Winnebago my way for giggles - another is this (very pink inside) thing with a 6.2 GM Diesel under the driver's seat.  Only 40,000 miles from new (I wonder why?)

There must be more value in restoring the barrier than that heap of shit car that hit it.

In ten years time no one will even know these ads are AI as their own intelligence will have been superseded by it.  Which in the case of a lot of car sellers, is a pretty low bar.

It was 100% a 1.6L. Seats and side mouldings confirm it and headrests confirm late 81 on model. Estate L models weren’t available in any other flavour and GLs had different side mouldings and wheels.

Rev counter, wood door cappings and analogue clock in the lower console say Ghia, Shirly?
