kawasaki kh250 - Picture 1 of 2

kawasaki kh250 | eBay

Seized, but relatively cheap.  Not the fastest 250, but the noise they make and the pleasure of blasting round on them is 2nd to none, imho.

…who recovers the recovery truck when it breaks down?

… put the Focus on the impounded recovery truck then the recovery truck onto the other truck.

How many recovery trucks could a recovery truck recover if a recovery truck could recover recovery trucks?

We could all move in together and exit the 21st century over rough ground.

This is strangely appealing.

Can we make it a cult please?

Absolutely the best looking of the XJ range without a shadow of a doubt.

Sadly not a patch on the style of an original series 1 XJ6/12.  That Daimler for 3.5K looks a bargain.

I have to agree the Ser 1 is sublime, closely followed by Ser 2. It was just so...perfect looking when launched.

Nope. Had an S3 and it was lovely, but the original was the best. Just like the SD1 and the P6 were the same.

Who's feeling extremely brave? And has a new year's resolution to get a divorce?

Now THIS is something I would enjoy!  And it's shabby enough to live outside on the street.  I like a bit of genuine patination.  It's with a dealer, wonder if he takes swops?

It's a very good price for one of those Eddy. It looks driveable too. It may have rot in the frame etc - but looks good on the surface.

Huge club support.

Ask the dealer - they might have some want of an XJ.

MoT and Road Tax exempt too.

All the above has certainly crossed my mind!  I think these old Rileys are a lovely thing.  The overall style screams Dick Barton or even Biggles (look them up, kids...) and as you say, there's loads of support.  Rot in the frame would worry me but I would bet the club can supply repair sections.  It's only timber; I can (or at least could...) cope with woodwork.  I sat in one a few years ago at a show.  It's a lovely place to be.  I can almost smell the interior from the photos.

I'm selling it to myself here, aren't I?

I wish!

I just showed it to MrsR and her first word was NO.  Bloody philistine.
