It's a real shame these (and other cars like the Mk4 Cortina) are getting so out of reach in the money stakes these days.

Ford Capri mk2 1974 2.0 ghia with sunroof, running & driving, been in storage! | eBay

Used to think the Mk2 was the ugly duckling of  the Capri world, but now think they're lovely.

with a beige suede roof? What a shame we didn't get that option.

I don't think the roof is erm standard.

My sister's first car was one of these. Same spec, registration letter, colour and even the lack of head restraints. This one's up for £3,500. Would look nicer with some Ghia spec chrome hubcaps and rim embellishers if any can be found.

My Dad had exact same spec and colour (I think, unless there was an orangier orange). Although I felt the need to persue MG Maestro ownership in his memory, I don't feel a strong pull to this/these even though I'm somewhat Ford-friendly.

I think it was called Sun Burst Red. I had one of the first Orions in that colour.

I quite like the wheels which are exclusive to the GL. W plate mk3s must be mega rare by now I reckon- there weren't masses of them when new.

The car looks a bit grotty around the edges - it'll need some tlc fairly soon to keep it looking tidy I'd have thought. It'll be interesting to see if it sells for £3.5k.

Terracotta otherwise known as plant pot red.

A very early MK3 too.
