Long time lurker / first time caller.

A 2.5l nearly ruined me 20 years ago, but couldn’t help myself when this popped up.

Thank you for years of giggles.  Here’s to many more.

This SM was up for auction recently, formerly owned by Citroen UK as a rally car used in the 1973 Avon Tour of Britain:

This is the only photo, although he has helpfully attached it twice. The green string is probably for his mittens so he doesn't lose them.

I feel like the bloke in the photo didn't know he was hiding in the bushes behind him.

BUDGET CLEARANCE VEHICLE THAT DOES NOT MEET OUR NORMAL RETAIL CRITERIA SO HAS NOT GONE THROUGH OUR USUAL PRE SALE INSPECTION PROCESS

I'd better road test it thoroughly then

WE DO NOT ALLOW ROAD TESTS (OTHER THAN ON OUR PRIVATE LAND) ON BUDGET CLEARANCE VEHICLES AS THEY HAVE NOT BEEN THROUGH ANY OF OUR QUALITY INSPECTION PROCESSES

That's why I want to road test it

Might be just me, but I wouldn't class a £2500 car as "budget". I'd be wanting at least some sort of assurances if I was buying from a dealer for that amount of money.

Fucking Hell.

And it's £3500

That's not the price, it's the bonus offered to the first VOSA inspector to stop it.

I thought that there were consumer protection laws if the dealer sold you a "pup"

I have check the reg on 2 data bases and it does not come up as not found.
