Apart from the obvious fail of a manual gearbox, this lash-up is rather appealing. Those things on the headlights and the bonnet straps would have to go but otherwise it looks ready for my world.

I agree, total shame about the learner box but with proper gears I would happily drive that daily.

Looks to have normal sequential bike gearing to me, but whatever.

I'm emailing Andy Willman and Jeremy Clarkson now in the feint hope that they can drop a Piano on it ASAP.  What an utterly miserable, curly, furry, unnecessary blight on the landscape of a dog turd.

Oh it's hideous, and fabulous. I want it.

Hilarious to drive, comfy and reliable and sips fuel (I'm still looking for another good one).

This looks like a 2000 140BHP so it may have the oil drinking engine that shits itself. The MOT emissions failure points to that being likely, as these never have problems with that when running well, even from cold.

The want for one of these is strong, went to view one in September 2019, was a classic 10 footer, looked stunning but when you got close you could see it was a rust trap waiting to happen, shame really, as the bug still bites, love the way they look. It is still around I think, someone picked it up, probably someone with a garage...

Audi 100 quattro.  From a time when Audis weren’t bought by tossers, or if they were at least there were fewer of them

I recommend using a motor car for that sort of trip.
