That’s great as it’s a real poverty spec example and have never seen one with unpainted plastic bumpers and mirrors before and love that 90s blaupunkt and I’ve never seen on without a sunroof or air con.

Heres another auto on EBay at the moment and this is the upmarket Ti Auto with the M44 and seems seriously cheap for a Ti with low mileage.

I had a 1.6 base saloon and it was so grim, barely pulled itself along, drove well for 250k miles but painfully slow.

And really don't look at the interior.

A girl in school with me had one of those in burgandy, one of those girls you never looked at in school but when she left you thought "she's quite nice actually".

Carburettor, no cat and a four speed gearbox.

I had a base spec hellrot 1.6 automatic and it was a great little car although it had only done about 60000 miles but it was a slow little thing and weirdly quite juicy to run.

My father loved it so he ended up having it so I swapped it for his A3 Audi and then I got bored with that and got myself another low mileage example in Hellrot red but this time went for a  manual Ti and that is a real hoot to drive and still have it 5 years later on which is a record for me.

It was quite confusing though as they looked nigh identical so sometimes I wondered why my remote wouldn’t open the doors lol.

Have a read of the bumf for this, it sounds absolutely fantastic.

My only change would be to swap the air filter for a box out of an Omega for a more standard look, and less induation noise. Screenshot_20201115-151654_eBay.thumb.jpg.607b311d83b49b198c53f6f988f54f25.jpg

You might want to change the V5C too, as it is still showing on DVLA as being 1800cc.

Otherwise its lovely.

I love this, I had an 1800L company car on a C, this same colour . Had pov spec tweedy cloth though. Most of the time it was great, just very slow. When Mrs N went into labour with my oldest, I was in London and had to rush back to Milton Keynes. Possibly the most frustrating journey of my life, I almost had at least 2 head ons in the old 3 lane suicide section of the A5 just after Dunstable.  Had to change it because it didn’t have rear belts , I swapped it for a D reg 1800 GLi Cavalier that was much much faster. Just not as much fun in the wet.

Renault 25 in the parts section.  Relatively minor MOT failure.  Automatic though, sadly.  And those wheels look shit.
