I've always fancied one of these.  Watchlisted, obvs; can we all please refrain from bidding so the price stays at a level I can justify?  Once I get it into use there will be a cheap Volvo available...

Eddy, I may have to have a cheeky bid but should I win you can have a drive/loan of the beast.

I did know about these, but only because I have a Majorette model one!

Cheers man I’ll let you know, I’ve sent an offer of £1250 to the seller which might be a tad low ball as he’s read it and not replied.

Sounds reasonable money with that mileage. I looked at a mint low mileage one which was £1k more than that. £1250 isn’t a stupid offer though. Looks nice apart from lacquer peel

That's fucking gorgeous. Anyone want to buy a couple of red Rovers? Or a kidney?
You're not putting the metro down already are you?

And I thought I was a miserable bugger..
It is an endearing little thing, like a puppy with a wonky leg. It's never going to win any contests, but it's a loyal and fun thing. And I'll love it and care for it until I eventually have to put it down due to complications.
And it's not that holey, just a couple of bits need doing, not the end of the world.

This is literally just down the road, and is exceedingly cheap. I have a real soft spot for Hornets to the extent I have given serious thought to importing one in the past (though I'd have a wagon or a fastback version ideally). Luckily I don't have the very reasonable asking price. Look at the interior!

I LOVE AMC Hornets & Gremlins. I would be very impressed if you bought this, Barrett. :) It does seem like a good price as AMCs are usually North of £8k.

I quite like compact American cars in general tbh like the Ford Pinto & Maverick coupé.
