+1 for that.

All prisoner transport should be LDVs

That'd teach them.

Before I bought something else, I was going to bid on this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283958956596

However I was slightly concerned it would be problematic, as I've no experience of the 136 2.0 HDI or C4s. The coupe does look interesting though. Six speed and cruise too.

8 previous owners seems high mind you, and short ticket.

Not sure 48 years old counts as a "modern classic", but I suppose it's closer than an M-reg Fiesta or some of the other tripe that gets labelled as "classic" nowadays.

Edit: unless things have changed dramatically since I had mine, the seized brakes could be fun to sort - brake parts for the early cars seem to be pretty much unobtainium.

Grofl - you just stopped me thinking hmmm.............

This should hopefully close all the daily threads opened on the wanted forum for a small, cheap diesel.

it's even had BADGE DELETE and has a helpful big clock on the dash to help you measure its 0-60 time.

Slightly concerning is that in a couple of the photos it morphs into a Corsa. Let's hope it doesn't do that often or you'd keep losing it in car parks.

This picture seems to frame the car nicely with most useful tool for this car in the foreground. :-)

The inner Onslow in you is screaming out buy me!

That 'Cortina 80's' is fantastic, what a find.  Hope someone takes it on to do up, rather than race or split for parts. Could be absolutely bollocksed mind.

Hiace camper with knackered engine for a grand. It actually looks pretty neat although I imagine trying to fit a 2.7 diesel engine somewhere into the middle of one of these wouldn't be a lot of fun.

Some kwality pics there. As for the engine, comes out upwards into the cabin and out via nearside door. Autobox goes down and backwards to remove after dropping the prop. The rust on that o/s/f arch says sparkly stick is heading it's way. Ask me how I know

But what the fuck is going on with the seats?

They murdered Bertie Bassett and got a taxidermist to stuff him.

A hairdryer would be the most useful tool for this, but there's a lovely car under all the stuck on crap.

They have stuck wonky V6 badging on the actual instrument cluster glass.

Diagnosis: Mentally unstable, should be locked away for the good of mankind.

"Selling this on behalf of my father..."

"...top of the rear bumper has had some scratches from loading which have been sprayed over. You could easily rectify this by buying a bumper protector strip which start from around £5.00"

This deranged fetish for sticking cheap shit to innocent cars clearly runs in the family

Check out this little snazzlord. One of the two 'elderly lady owners' has fitted a Landrover steering wheel to it.

'45k miles from new all genuine miles'

'Had to realist due to buyer who brought it didn’t want it because there a issue with mileage but there must be something wrong when they got it mot previous put the mileage per gallon down on mot so that’s where the problem is with miles !!!!'

7th July:  45,068 miles

28th June 2014:  12,998 miles

29th June 2013:  37,576 miles.

Hats off,  a very impressive 12,998MPG from a Transit 2.0 petrol. Oh well, one slight mistake is fair game I suppose.  Might as well just leave that MOT history checker now, not worth carrying on looking really,  hey? What's that, might as well look whilst we're there?

25th August 2006:  98,693 miles.

16th August 2006: 98,576 miles .

It's almost as if the milometer only goes to 99,999 then starts again. How strange!

It's probably one of theirs as ford only did the Sierra XR8 MK1 hatch (250).
