Lotus Elite. Shame about the gravel-blasted bumper, the rest of it's well smart.

Why?

BECAUSE WHITE LUND TRADING ESTATE

Here's a cheap, just-about-still-MoT'd Hunter in St Albans. If it were a 1725 my bidding finger would be itching, despite having absolutely nowhere to put it.

I've seen this around a few times but never been able to get a picture for a "spot". Looks even rougher in real life - very mid '90s council estate!.

Didn't stay on eBay long - I do hope it survives.

Posted

I don't think it will survive.

It has overheating issues and needs more welding.

I'm looking for a parts car and spoke to the chap who said he would be heartbroken if it ended up in bits. I didn't bid.

I can understand his feelings - although, of course, there are some far worse possible outcomes for it than ending up as an enthusiast's parts car!

^ I had no idea that those things were worth so much. A bloke I know has had one in his garage since 1990. The car is minty too, as the garage is heated. I must tell him about this one, I'm sure his mother would be glad to see the back of his Z, especially if he got a couple of grand for it.

Depening on how much of a mate he is you could just offer him £800 for it...

Ooh. I'd like a Z... like that one, minus the AA (to Z) badge.

Offer him 800, sell it to me for a bit more... dream on Michiel

Not sure if this is a bit salty, but there's only a couple of hundred left on the road, and it looks pretty straight in the pictures...

I'd rather have one of these over a GTi - Currently thinking of reasons not to go buy it...

I gave one of these away about 3 years ago - I paid £250 for it with full MOT and 6 months rent, did about 10,000 miles in it. I thought I had my monies worth so gave to a young lad I know, who bought some GTI alloys and sold it on for about £400! It was great fun though, surprisingly quick - not much slower than a GTI upto about 50/60 I'd reckon and I had well over 110 on the clock. The main problem was steering lock, it was about 4 turns lock to lock and needed a lot of movement to make it change direction.

This has potential excellence as it's got a Rover v8 and manual box in it. Surely worth the £350 alone if it runs.

I recon this will go alright even as a 316 as it's not cursed with a slush box. It looks a bit squishy in parts for the money but hopefully not destined to be stuffed into some armco at Crail drift day.

Reliant Ant, not Trab Ant, Adam Ant, Ant on Dec, blah blah...

Tho', to be fair, with its' 1650kg GVW, it would make an ideal recovery truck for other small Reliants.

How about this for Autoshite HQ? 4x double bed house with yard space for 20 cars, workshop and business permission.

Close to pub.
