I used one of those 200 T quattros as a daily for a good few months a while back. It was great!! Made a great noise, was pretty quick (182 BHP I thnk) and not hideous on juice either. The electrics arent that bad in them and you will soon be able to see whats working and whats not. Plus they are a real looker I reckon.

I cant stop looking at that P6, it is ruddy gorgeous. Great colour, but a shame it's got the most boring interior trim. Red leather would push it over the edge into 'can't resist' territory I reckon.

I had managed to get P6 lust out of my mind for ages now but that has just tipped me back over the edge. I think I might start saving some cash instead of spunking it all on French shite and finally live out my Junior Architect in 1967 fantasies this summer. I already have the black turtleneck in stock.

I'm viewing that P6 tomorrow ...

The Senators are awesome, no doubt about it, proper tail happy too. I'm ideally looking for something 80s and older though.

Audi 200's are for winners, the last proper Audi.

If it starts and runs that is half the battle as they can be a bit temperamental in the ECU department. If it's decent it would be a good buy at £750.

Have you had an E30 yet? Your budget would bag a nice one, plus the RR lot would spunk all over it.

Or an early Renault 5? I remember you showed some interest in one a while back.

That Audi 200 is lovely !
My old man had one, and stupidly sold it to his 'mate' who wrote it off ... bellend.

His one had an electric blind in the back with a switch on the dash to control it, i remember annoying ye old man by playing with it as he drove.

Steer well clear of those 24v Seniles. They are the biggest tosh north of a Citroen CX.

Tico looks like an ideal tool for pizza delivery!  Got to be drier than a moped anyway, and shouldn't use much more juice?

There were loads of those in Budapest, a knock-off Daihatsu Domino I believe.  Clearly it's for winners but I'm guessing it might hard to get it UK-registered now time has passed since it was imported.

I will not have bad words spoken about Senators.

Outside you, on the cobbles.

Seriously though, I think the 24 valve got a bad reputation for snapping cam chains. Was there a re-call?

I had a few of them, including an ex old bill manual. That was fun on the motorway, people tended to move out of the way a bit sharpish.

209 bhp, so didn't eff about. The 12 valve gold top was the best though.

If the Swan necks aren't to rusty on that manta then get it bought.easy 2k plus as it looks on the bay

I had several 3.0i 8v A Senators, which were brilliant, aside from the usual rust issues.

I then had a B Senator 24v and it was such unblievable rubbish, that the mind boggles.

From really good to total tosh within one model change. The B Senator is a botched together Omega on steroids

that never works right and finally blows the infamous fuse 26. It is such a miserable bag of shit, that it got me off

Vauxhalls (and Opels, which it in fact really is) to this day.

I repeat it and I repeat it loud and clear for all:

Steer clear of B Senators!

Not heeding my warning will get you in an endless ordeal of frustrating misery.

If you are looking for a 200+ bhp saloon of the era, buy a Cossie Scorpio, which is superior in every conceivable aspect.

I can't remember the last time I saw one. Cavette's stunning mk1 cav has awakened an interest in me for that era of vaux...

Cripes, what an awful write up,i wouldn't want to try and have a conversation with the seller.
