It's times like this when I hate the fact that I never have £10k just lying around doing nothing.

Same, but there was that Merc camper for sale on here that is more or less what this is/does? And it was a lot more affordable...

Or is it the Talbot cache that does it for you (badge wanker)?

I'm a sucker for that shit carpet.

Back in 2009 my friend had to - err - leave the country in a hurry.  Having spent 48 hours trying to sell his 307d Autotrail for £5k (having bought it a month earlier for £7k from a dealer) he took every last penny I had (£1,000 in savings) and let me have it. It was much the same as this inside but larger and I fucking loved it.

However, it was pushing 20ft long with its adornments on the rear - and we only had street parking.  With a heavy heart, I flipped it that weekend for a decent whack and have felt sad pretty much ever since.

I think they're bloody ace, and I would love one.  But until I become a millionaire and can put up a barn for such vehicles it's pointless.

Something less standard in the car park at work.

These were everywhere when I were a lad. I always associate them with the strange chip shop pie tin wheels most of them had.

New owners going to need a black 9

That is the least of their problems.

overdrive, freewheel hubs and parabolic springs though

Those alone are probably worth a fair chunk of the asking price!

Mental price, in my opinion, for a car that’s been ruined by the paint job. They’ve managed to sell Cortinas at this price before though.

Single mirror on a Ghia seems tight.

Tight but correct!

Passenger door mirror was fitted to the brochure car but small print makes clear that it was an extra cost option.  £11 in 1980.

November 1980 brochure

Passenger side door mirror became standard on all Cortinas except base in February 1981.

They were back on Roupell when he was there (end of May), in the exact spot that they are in the November 2020 Google Street View.

Feat. my mate's breakfast.

There's a total of three Morris Minors along Whittlesey St in the most recent Google imagery - along with the Rover I wonder if there's a competing British car collector to rival the French one?

June 2025 Classic Car & Bike Auction

When did you last see one of these? (About 4 or 5 pages back)

Lot 1 - 1979 Fiat 127 Sport - NO RESERVE

2243-5.jpg?v=63882589852480

How much!!!!!!!!!!!

£10,250 plus 7.5% means teh buyer has just paid a smidge over £11,000 for this Fiat. I know it's rare, but that's a bit daft if you ask me.

According to the last test it does have a bit of corrosion actually, Still, that's pretty good for a 23 year old Swift.

Quote

Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):

Nearside Front Integral body structure is corroded but structural rigidity is not significantly reduced FLOOR (6.1.1 (c) (i))
