Begs the question, who recovers the recovery truck when it breaks down?

I just saw a program where a recovery truck turned up to recover a police impounded Focus, but by the time he got there they had impounded a recovery truck as well, he phoned base to see which one to recover first, i immediately though put the Focus on the impounded recovery truck then the recovery truck onto the other truck.

I would love to see what @Simon_punto could do with this!

Love that. That’s a very late one with an airbag. And in red would match my tipo

One of these in the exact same colour is the cause of my internet handle.  Had one for just over a year, ended up hating the bloody thing. Bought a Blackbird to replace it which I kept nearly 10years and still have one now. But I mentioned to mate in jest one day that I’d driven better two cylinder dumptrucks round building sites than that bloody bmw.
And yet somehow I’ve owned another 4 since, and my R850GS since 09 and I love it.

I always found the R1100RS a love it or loathe it bike. Once I got used to absolutely throwing it into corners I found it loved them. But it took a long time to find how it liked to be ridden. Whereas the R, RT and GS models were much more easy to live with when you weren’t trying so hard. And as you say They’ve got very cheap.

a lot of the cheap ones are now being bought just to use the engine, ecu, loom etc in 2CV’s

Prices of these seem to have dropped. A bit like the MK2 Jag. Both were expensive but have tailed off.

They are thirsty, rusty and needy because of all that suspension bushing. A lot will need engine work now if they have not received it.

They are a lovely car - but the pool of buyers may be getting smaller and smaller.

20mpg is average and fast road use will go below that.

Thirst rusty and needing engine work just described a lot of old cars but I get that these are a bit more complex than normal stuff.  They look fantastic though.  They're also quite long so a bit of a pain to store.  I looked at one a few years ago and it wouldn't fit in my garage where as my p6 fitted in no problem.

Absolutely the best looking of the XJ range without a shadow of a doubt.

We could all move in together and exit the 21st century over rough ground.

I don't think they're actually all wheel drive, that's just the make.

Still let's move in and hide from 2025. Happy New Year to All.🥳

kawasaki kh250 | eBay

Seized, but relatively cheap.  Not the fastest 250, but the noise they make and the pleasure of blasting round on them is 2nd to none, imho.

How many recovery trucks could a recovery truck recover if a recovery truck could recover recovery trucks?
