Opened it, saw that it's listed as a 4 litre manual and got excited. I really liked the 3.2 manual I had.

Then I looked at the pictures and realised it's an automatic that's incorrectly listed.

Son in law scrapped his Avensis yesterday,on my advice. It needed quite a lot for it's MOT and the underside was really flakey. It also has been in a front end shunt at some point. Someone turned up in the usual beavertail and took it away for 300 quid. Guess what's on Marketplace today 🤣

Same thing happened with my BMW. I told the guy the rear subframe was rotten and had actually cracked through as a result. The car had 11 months MOT on it when this happened.

A few days later I thought I'd look it up randomly on DVLA and someone had taxed it for six months.

My Avensis is the previous generation. I don't know if they are the same underneath (I suspect much of it is) but mine was just starting to 'go' when I got it. I wire wheeled it back and treated it with various remedies to try and slow it down. Pics show what it was like before I did anything.

As for the flipping you've highlighted - absolute shysters.

Dunno if this has been mentioned but when copy and pasting links to ebay items, you can delete anything after the item number, starting with the question mark that is the first character after the item number.

I get the feeling that request is too complicated for some. Even if they add a link which says website and vehicle being sold. 😕

Cheers dude. Really local to me as well. Didn't realise the verts were 2 seaters though. Might still go and have a look.

27,000 mile Mk1 Focus 1.6 Zetec

MOT history looks good other than it getting it's clocks swapped at 12k with a set of zero mile clocks. It had the same owner for 17 years up until recently.

I spoke to the seller about this as I quite fancied it as a fill in car buy there's no history at all, it doesn't look like it's ever had a timing belt etc.  I guess it would probably be more money if it had all that stuff.

Looking at these photos there's nothing all too serious, at least for the next 5 years. Even if rusty an MOT'd car is still worth money to someone, above scrap value all day long.

I know I’m supposed to love all 2cvs but really hate these. Not as bad as the deauville “Bessy” but close.
