He wants OVER £1200, with no MOT, high emissions, rusty arches, a knackered rear beam, in effective brakes and worn out ball joints.

I have wanted this for years, has been on C&C for yonks. Now it is at an almost attractive price, but that welding looks really difficult. Could someone give me any more reasons to not want it (nothing about them being terrible to drive - this is AS after all)

This is a rare beast - Renault 21 Quadra hatchback.  In fact it's rare enough that I'm wondering if this is my old one - 2003 would have been about when I sold it.

Vel Shatis with a years ticket - £650

144,000 miles, so technically 126,000 away from nuking itself (ideal forum bike replacement!?)

2.2 diesel automatic for optimal borkage potential, if the very fact it's a Vel Satis wasn't enough!

I'm sure the "slight noise" won't* be much...
