No tab lighter, however so I am out.

That stereo looks like I fitted it the morning after a case of special brew.

But those seats, hot diggity!

Even more amazed  as it  seemingly sold a few weeks ago at auction for under 2k

Another fuckin' flipper.

On the other hand, the internet means that this car's sale history is quite well-known, so hopefully he'll be stuck with it for years to come.

Surely what you're referring to as 'flipping' is simply someone attempting to make money.  Something is worth what the market will pay for it, no?  If he's got a bargain at auction and is marketing it better to attract a higher price then what's wrong with that?  Good conservative Friedman free-market economics.

if its as good as it looks he got a ridiculous bargain, but then again 10k seems an awful lot

I'll have said before on here, I once went to get an Imp gearbox from a chap in Barnsley and he built miniature working lorrys. He spoke at me for about 2 hours about them until I managed to escape.

For a short time after that I was probably one of the principal authorities on miniature truck building in the UK, or even the world.

Thankfully I managed to remove most of the information from my brain with a massive amount of drugs and alcohol and I've since managed to continue a relatively normal existence but it was touch and go there for a while.

The Honda is less likely to get you sprayed with acid, stabbed and left to lie in the road at traffic lights, as the star of a 100 YouTube clips.

Back window worth looking at

It's at Welsh Border Motor Spares in Welshpool. If it's the same lad running as it 18-20 years ago, he's a brilliant bloke.

Late Montego diesel saloon - not all that far from me, in other circumstances I would be sorely tempted.

 s-l1600.jpg

That is absolutely fantastic!

Having just gotten rid of two of my fleet, I find myself checking out Montegos and Maestros on the daily. If I could drive this back home I would be all over it

Problem is they were never worth anything in the first place (see also Alfa Arna), so this type of thing is just taking the piss.

£2k to £10k does seem like rather a lot.

for some reason, best known to myself, i've really liked these ever since seeing them new on Piaggio's stand 20 odd years ago, at the motorbike show. (i think)

this is the first one i've seen for sale in forever that isn't fucked, but pretty much as new. nice.

The 180s were great. I had a black special version for some 250cc racer. Can’t remember who. I could dig out the photos if anyone was vaguely interested. Was advertised as quicker than a Ferrari to 60 at the time.

I’ve got a factory fresh Peugeot  Speedfight 2 if you are interested :)

Brake pedal going to the floor too. Probably master cylinder but could be anything I guess. It's on Celica wheels so somebody once liked it enough to mess around with it.

Think we'll pass on this one for now.

You can pass if you want to, but I can't!  I wonder if he wants a Cadillac?

Sure, I don't think he will get anything near that, he's a chancer but I just don't understand why people seem hostile to the principle of making a profit.

I had an original Speedfight back in the 90s. Was excellent. 50cc with the restrictor removed, it would go off the clock at 100kph (imported one)

Been toying with the notion of getting another small engined scooter/bike. I notice Honda are doing the new Super Cub at £49 deposit/49 per month. Their nice new Monkey is about £71 down and per month.

Didn’t the Runner have leg-warming vents which drove warm air from the radiator?

Posted

yes it did, see the black bi with the lines in it in between the the silver and red bits of the fairing?

that is the warm vent things, both are shown in the closed position.

Tell you what, I wouldn’t climb over this to get to you.

£2k not crazy from a dealer.

There is some rust to the rear arches and the windscreen pillars but nothing that's not reversible.

Might have to ask Santa for a tube of that there Rust Reverser.
