Really need to get back into a regular routine with the gym and lose weight as a result. Drink less hand in hand with that.

Already sort of quit smoking even though I’m sitting in my garden smoking a cigar right now.... that doesn’t count OK??

More cylinders but fewer cars. Fewer pedals would be good too.

More miles** but fewer journeys.

**And a lot more kilometres as well.

Win the lottery.

But being a traditional Yorkshireman with short arms and long pockets that would mean having to buy a ticket....

I really need to cut down on my alcohol intake. Currently doing a bottle of whisky a week along with many pints. Doesn't help that I received 3 bottles for Christmas.

Make it to my retirement at the end of April without strangling anyone.

Sell the i10 in April.

Fix the Triumphs.

Drive the 45 for as long as possible.

Try not to die too early.

That's about it really.

Had an Interceptor for a while-then got married-that was the end of that (the car not the wife).

Resolutions are to get my MIG welding to actually stick two pieces together and to actually get working on the cars. The last year I've lost my get up and go (depression?)-but will be getting back into the garage.

Carry on with the brochure collection

That sounds like a cracking idea for a film....Sid James has uncovered a warehouse full of Marina launch packs and is trying to drip them out to the collectors around the town.   Bernard Bresslaw gets a case-load to sell on but falls foul of a bad day at Cowley and most of his get burned in the picket line braziers.   Barbara Windsor attempts to re-create a "You can do it an MG" scene in a black-sill Midget but somehow gets her bra-strap caught on the interior mirror rod.

Meanwhile, Charles Hawtrey relentlessly pursues Sid over brochure claims that the rear legroom in a 1.8TC Coupe should enable him to glimpse Joan Sim's stocking tops as she climbs in the back and Kenneth Williams tries to locate a full set of literature on the FX4 Hire Car model.

My New Year resolution is the same one that I fail at every year.

I.e. I resolve not to be just as much off a social hand grenade, the sort of chap who gets the giggles at funerals, says the first thing that comes into his head, or tries to do something inappropriate with the financial director of the company at the Christmas Night out.

I usually last until the first New Year party.

Sigh.

Same as last year.

Give up fags and cut down on booze.

Which will result in me buying another vape thingy and not using it and buying twice as many half bottles of pastis.

Pass my driving test first time.

Then make a 2011 Citroen C1 look interesting but not chavvy

Oh and hit my target weight.. enter the Viking Challenge on my bike and make some money for the charities I care about

Holy Mary, an FF! Four-paw grip and anti-lock brakes in 1966...in that case my new year’s resolution is to follow Dippy’s imminent resto thread.

Another resolution is to hit, if not get very close to my target weight by hogmanay 2019. Mrs D seems to think that if I lose 10 stones I'll be too skinny, but we shall see when I get to around 8st lost. I'll still be enormous whatever I weigh!

My new years resolution is to not volunteer myself to weld anyone else's chod but my own. Been doing stuff on a few friends' rusty old heaps the last couple of weeks, and I'm now a little bit done in by it. It seemed like a good idea to get a bit more experience under my belt, but I'd like to get stuck into my own shite now!
