…. kak photos rotated the wrong way

That's common practice on collections.

Good luck.

After 2 train changes and a sort car ride money was exchanged tea was consumed and then a shit drive home down the M5, M50 alas by the time I got home (not too long ago) this was the best picture I could take I will take more tomorrow but incase the photo is so poor it is a 2001 volvo S60 T5 now I have always had a thing for these sweedish beasts and seeing as I am being made redundant next week I thought I would cheer myself up

Liked for warm Swede, not redundancy.

If my 2001 X5 isn’t modern this certainly isn’t - to the main board with you sir.

Awesome things though. I bought a poorly S60 T5 from a wanker on the blue board and the drive home was wonderful even though it went to the bridge shortly after.

Ooof, in black too. Is it manual or automatic?

Either way, SUPERTURBOROCKETBARGE! :-D

Posted

Its an automatic the first auto I have ever driven my left hand felt lost on the way home after 10 years of manuals. The previous owner was a bit of a petrol head so looked after her plus talking to him about my rover he admitted to having lots of SD1’s in his time (previous chod collector maybe?) the weather is being typically welsh today as I was hoping to go out and give it a good wash hopefully there will be a break in the rain

I wasnt sure if it should be here on this part of the forum as its 17 years old but then im 28 so to me its modernish Im sure I can remeber there was thread about shite age somewhere

Posted

At 17 most people would think it is a banger! Only us odd people think of it as new.

Do some more photos and a show round the car.

Posted

On the basis that my local yard is full of cars 10 to 12 years old, anything that has survived that must be shite and lucky to survive its stewardship from the hands of chuck away charlie.

I had one of these S60 Lovvo's a few years back in 2003 when it was new with the 2.4 5 Cyl Diesel lump it in. It was a fine car, with me for about 6 months IIRC as it was a hand me down fleet car from a colleague that fooked off

Excellent bargery right there. Auto volvos rule. You’ll find the ease of pressure from your left knee rewarding and lavish(ish). May she return comforts unlike no other.

Looks lovely, and really modern looking for a 51 plate. Would like to have one of these at some point

Posted

Also a cautionary tale twas the night before the night before christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse except for luke outside checking the ATF on his T5 and proceding to snap the little plastic dipstick in the dipstick tube roll on christmas eve and after 2 hours of fuckery I removed the offending article

Posted

That looks so well in black with those wheels. Well bought.

Posted

Stuboy indeed it is, the dipstick was bent and very brittle went to my local dealer and picked one up for about £6 I am planning on changing the fluid soon aswell as giving it a full service

Posted

A blob of Araldite and you're on your way!

That being said, I would have issues trusting that repair.
