It's time to move the Rover on so it's up for Roffle if anyone wants a go. It has been owned by quite a few people on the forum, I let Nisfan have it a while ago but he's no longer using it so it's just sitting taking up space.
Mot is until December, it drives fine from what I remember but there's a crack in the windscreen so that will definitely need replaced for the next test.

Drove alright when I had it, every panel is rusty/dented/scraped to fuck but it didn't seem all that structurally fucked and everything seemed to just about work. Was surprisingly rapid.

Like a true autoshite bod I’d set out all the history I had in the conventional sense and also printed everything from the retro rides bo11ox tat blog and all posts from here related to it. Remember it a framing a polonez? What about the ribbing sixcylinder got when he was trying to get the cheapest rail fayre to collect it? It was all there. Yes I am sad.

I'm amazed my rattle-can touchups held as long as they did, terrifying to think this was four and a half years ago...

 

 

Still love this car, it did so much so well and was totally reliable both times I had it.  Mega-comfy too.  I had that windscreen fitted when that and the frame rot threatened to send it over the bridge - I also ended up replacing the incontinent waterpump and rotten radiator and a load of other bits, probably ended up spending 4x what it was worth over two ownership stints but it was always a joy to drive.  I'll pass on the tickets as there's no way I could risk actually winning and having to make a 1000 mile round trip to get a fourth motor I don't need.  Hope it does the next owner a good turn and continues to soldier on.

Plus I have happy memories of driving a lovely 3-door 220GSi belonging to a girl I was keen on a long time ago. Only got to first base but the Rover was good fun.
