Mismatched panel colour thread.

I know the owner of this, but we don’t talk. He helps out at the garage that ruined my last Mercedes 190e, and he was quite comfortable watching me push it 2 miles home (alone) after a disagreement over repairs.

Still, looks gr9.

Perfection, Phil. Just stop right there.

Saw this beauty at Croft at the weekend, excellent attention to detail on the door handle swapping.

I reckon we’ve a new leader here. Incredible.

This was delightfully shonky. Rattle canned and brush painted, several different colours. The front wing had a load of unpainted unsanded filler on it, and the front bumper was held together by bracing the cracks with plastic brackets on the outside, held down with self tappers. 6ed5747b56931221c039c4a5a8618317.jpg

Currently the 850 boasts a mismatched panel where I filled the big hole.

I spotted that shonky 205 again today. It turns out both rear doors are the same shade of blue!

^^ I would say not, just another Harlequin. Then I saw the hubcaps. So, yes definitely.

Seen plenty duotone 75s, this is a new one on me.

Take two identical glass fibre panels with a coloured gel coat.

Paint over one an identical colour and leave the other alone...leave both outside to weather for 30 years...

I have a sneaking suspicion that a bit more than a polish will be needed there!

The entirety of this shed now seems to have been brush painted with whitewash or silver rattle cans or something. It's fucking awful.

I had thoughts that the owner of this not-Cortina was a 'shiter; I'm probably wrong tho.
