Mmmmm points need re setting perhaps? Model number should be stamped on the engine case somewhere, I have a feeling this is engine is a B14 but not 100% sure. produced under various licences, qualcast, atco and tecumseh etc. You can get manufacturers manual electronically off ebay for a quid I think if you can be arsed to faff about even further.

Alternative recommendation - villiers mk10, mk12 or mk15. Indestructible, parts readily available from LCP and the likes, proven 70 year old technology and so simple to look after and fix. None of this springy pull start nonsense either, nice stout piece of string and off you go!

I appear to have agreed to be a hair stylist's hair dye guinea pig.  This suits me well, she was just as excited at the prospect of ridiculous colours and animal print head stubble as I was.  Currently, I want my present terrible do to be bright red on top with leopard print sides, proving yet further that I have practically no taste or shame.

People landing on a comet is pretty bloody impressive too, go humanity on that achievement!  I haven't a ridiculous enough metaphor to truly express how giant an achievement landing a tiny space craft on a tiny whizzing rock is.

Finally, in something car related, Mike and I are going to be borrowing a Jaaaaaaag for a week or two, it's a marque I've never experienced as a driver so this may be the first one I do, though it's new enough to basically be a Ford in a tidy suit.

I can't take credit for this image; blame serial Ford Probe botherer nick, new to this parish.

Getting dog food at local feed place. Down back of shed they had A reg Xr3 on flat bed in yellow. Couldn't get pic of that.

Then old guffer turns up in this and will no doubt get a couple of bales of hay in the back along with loads of horse feed.

today because of the wind i had the neighbors expensive heavy frame gazebo fly through the fence into my back garden demolishing the fence panel narrowly avoiding smashing the back window on mrs fordpervs sierra project, why is this in the grin thread i hear you ask well for one i am taking that the shite gods were smiling because no damage was caused to the car and secondly a mate came to my rescue by lending me his workhorse caddy pickup so i could collect the replacement as it wouldnt fit in mrs fp's grandads picasso.

I am intrigued to know what two parts he has for it.

I think he's got two Cherry's, I might have written it down wrong.

Finally got around to buying a log splitting axe today and set to work with chainsaw/new axe on the load of timber (Ash) that I got from some tree surgeons recently. The satisfaction of turning a few big bits of tree into a LOT of small split logs ready for the woodburner was immense! Tiring, but satisfying.

Got an 11 plate Fiesta as a courtesy car today when the ST went for a big* service.

Although 4 door have to admit I really liked it. Wasn't slow, had nice steering and good driving position. Did have mental breaks that were all of nothing, which was a bit poo

I used to live in a Forestry village and there was a local saying you 2 warmings from firewood, the first being the best!

Would that be the ex-Eddy/Micrashed/Me cherry by any chance? I saw it in a Tesco car-park en route to RRG14, and once I'd got over the utter weirdness of seeing it again, I waited about to see who returned to it. After 15 minutes, it occurred to me that the owner might actually work there and not return for several hours (I also looked a bit suspicious, especially when I started groping the arches and sills) so I reluctantly buggered off. It was excellent seeing it again, and confirmed the depth of my regret at ever getting rid of it.

Aye it is that one,  I'm guessing Ludlow Tesco's as it mostly stays around town.  Feel free to pop by for a cuppa if you're passing through again :)

Went to the pub quiz last night that we always used to go to, here in Paphos. It was great to be reunited with some of the team (those who weren't on their own holidays, in England!) and we won. So I was deputisedto go up for the jackpot question, which was worth 600 euros. I often used to get that job... The answer required was a year, and two of us guessed closest, a mere one year out.

I was wearing my Ken Bruce Popmaster "One Year Out!" T-shirt............................

I went to one of our depots this morning to relabel some stock due out today, and for some reason took a picture of the adblue piss pump

Bit of a grump, but put this here due to 'helping an old lady'.

Got a call from a friend saying that her mums central heating had stopped working, could I call round and check it please. (Actually it was 'Pleeeeeze pleeeeze' as my friend is a gurl, red haired and attractive).

Drove the ten miles to mums. No power at the boiler. Turns out that mum had accidentally turned off the switch. Switched it back on again. Arrrgh.

" Oh thankyou, how much do I owe you love"?

Didn't charge her. How could I? Ho hum.

Might be like Haynes Manuals, ie there's loads more of them left than the actual cars!

Its amazing how many times a load of logs warms you up, cutting, splitting, carrying, stacking and eventually burning.

I have now resorted to a electric/hydraulic splitter because of my miserable hand/eye co-ordination. Quite often I used to miss the log completely, once hitting my foot. I was afraid to take my boot off but it wasn't as bad as I feared.

Anyone want an axe? (at your own risk)

Local car dealers I pass everyday, proper old fashioned family firm dealt Ladas for years then Yugos then Perodooers.

Today I spotted a "Great Wall" sign going up.

Looking forward to seeing terminally rusty pick ups riding about in a couple of years :-)
