Should keep a few bread rolls in the car to lob at these ball bags at opportune moments.

Thanks - I'll only need to take the cheese with me the next time I get my lardy MAMIL arse on a bike...!!! :-)

I finally achieved (and indeed exceeded) a landmark speed figure in my 306 today. Ok, it took a 28 mile run up, but it got there!

Probably asking for trouble, schadenfraude or whatever, but the bloke over the road, who is rude, ignorant, noisy and a twat, got burgled in the early hours of this morning.

Shouldn't mock etc, but karma is a bitch sometimes.....

Finally managed to get to that old-school former BL Dealership in Neasdon, the 'Derek J Ketteringham' place that has some old cars/BL brochures in the tired old showroom.

I have got pics which I'll stick up later, I only managed though to get pics of the Carlton and 'CAC' SD1 from the outside. The showroom is split into 4 separate blocks which you'd have to go outside of the 2nd showroom along to get to the 3rd and so on.

I also had a look at the cars around the back, he has a lot of them. I also note that he seems to like his Rovers.

My trip to London was to collect some 15" Rover 'Prestige' alloys, same style alloys on my car, only in much better condition. Next on the list will be to replace the not so good alloys.

The KV6 surprisingly did very well on the journey to, around and from London. It was very comfortable and power wasn't a problem when needed.

Cheebus, you are admitting to watching some right crap there RG & LS.

I would pretend to have seen it on something more highbrow like Hollyoakes.

Wow!

Today whilst in London, I passed through a place called 'Holly Hill' near Hampstead. Its a place that put a smike on my face for looking so 'villagey'. Anyhow, whilst checking it on Google Street View, I inadvertently came across a pub there where the Google Camera actually goes into the pub!

Never seen the Google Camera actually go inside a building. See here.

Someone likening the Chinook to the 'bumble bee of the helicopter world'.  Now there's a lovely/terrifying thought.

Catching up on previous weeks episodes of The Young Montalbano on BBC4 last night and as well as an extremely fit brunette bird there was a Fiat 128 being used as a taxi, Alfa Giuliettas and Fiat Cromas being used as Police cars and a Fiat 130 coupe and an Alfasud Sprint in a car park.

I may have made a slight squealing noise...

In a previous life I used to write theatre/arts reviews for the local rag. One vivid memory is being sent to enjoy* and do a write-up on a Carpenters AND Cliff Richard tribute show (featuring the same people, who resembled neither Cliff nor either of the Carpenters, for both parts).

That has to rank as about the most cringe-inducing three hours of my life - possibly even less fun than when the wife dragged me to the cinema to see The Hobbit.

Q.What do Karen Carpenter and Mama Cass [Mammas and the Pappas] both have in common?

A.If Karen had eaten the ham sandwich and Mama hadn't..they'd both be alive today.
