As I left Brighton in the pissing rain today I caught up with this fucking dogs abortion;

And I begin an overtake, well it is Brighton, even the straights are a bit faggy I suppose;

Then I see the sign on the side;

I then put the camera down in readiness to make an insulting gesture, but instead piss myself when I clock the black feller driving, that's Brighton for you.

Brilliant! thats pretty much everything I love about my town in one nice little bite-sized analogy. I actually had a dream about kicking the shit out of some BNP twerp last night...

A bit more grin factor: I phoned up for a catalogue/price list from what I imagine is a fairly small cottage industry type firm that makes cutters. The label on the envelope it came in yesterday was typed. On a type writer. :D

Not necessarily true. That may be a very old computer 8) Back in the late 60's I worked on a Honeywell computer that used an IBM electric typewriter as a printer. That was modern then............computers were a bit bigger than now :o

Please turn that into reality one day.

This is making me smile today:The UK boy kidnapped in Pakistan two weeks ago has been reunited with his father at the British High Commissioner's home in Islamabad.Mrs Ash and I don't have any kids, but I'd walk to hell and back for my two nieces.

Yep, seconded. And luckily the little fella seems pretty unscathed after the whole ordeal.Seem like a nice family. The feeling of relief they are experiencing must be unimaginable.
Does nobody think this whole thing was a little suspect?

Visiting a proper independent record shop to collect gig tickets, then spending an enjoyable 45 minutes or so thumbing through the extensive clearance sections. Left with tickets, a pile of CDs that received the nod of approval from the bod behind the counter and a hard copy of PYTto read.

I buy most of my tickets on line these days but this really is a much more satisfying experience than just clicking add to basket. Must do it more often :D

^^^ I can appreciate that. When I was having problems with my girlfriend my best friend was there for me, I don't know what I would have done without him :)

Unearthed the R4 from it's winter slumbers, quick check over then a bit of a run out for half an hour on this afternoon. Lovely. (and everything seems to be working as it should.)Good stuff.

TR7 is running great. :D Although its looking a bit tatty and one of the headlights has to be wound down manually I will be using it as a daily driver as much as possible (ie until something else falls off). I hope I haven't jinxed it by posting this.

Went to London yesterday. Watched a Spaced flash mob take place in Trafalgar Square, then went and played Wii tennis at my little sisters' flat. Then watched a street dancing show, had dinner in Covent Garden and came home.Stuff you've never done before for the grin!

Got up early and headed to Swaledale with the dog, Dolly's old Saab cruising nicely on the A1(M) and then easily ripping past a milk tanker north of Leyburn. I'm impressed with the power steering, nice feedback when you're pressing on, makes a change from the Polo where you didn't know what was going on.Arrived at Gunnerside at half 9, plenty of parking, headed up the hill. Didn't see another soul for over 2 hours. Bliss.
